Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 1 hour ago Author Moderators Posted 1 hour ago With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Schloss is going to bring Connor McCreery into the game for his first appearance of the season. Schloss wanted to get McCreery on the mound in the regional, if possible, as a reward for everything he's done for the program in his two seasons with the Longhorns. McCreery, who came to Texas from South Carolina with injury issues, made three appearances last season. 1 Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 27 minutes ago Author Moderators Posted 27 minutes ago Regarding the pitching plan for the regional, Schloss said he didn't plan to use Volantis again this weekend, which is why he was extended today. He and Max Weiner brought Volantis back out for the seventh so that he could tip his cap to the crowd and get a well-deserved ovation. 2 Quote
