Tip of the hat to Mrs Canady but Hook Em cause we’re the back to back champs. 🤘 I dont blame her for taking the money. Especially in that sport, but what did she really do for the sport? Nothing in my opinion. She was dominant and surrounded by NIL mercenaries and got no trophies. Didn't even win the big 12. She lost in the semis twice at Stanford and in the finals twice at Tortilla Tech. 1 million to go one extra round surrounded by a hand picked and paid for roster? Congrats to her, her bank account and her individual trophy case, but IMHO, she did nothing for the sport other than being the face of NIL. 3 1 Quote
Roy Hinojosa Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Texas Tech had a chance to stick it to Texas and give Cody Campbell and all his sycophants ammo heading into the Fall, but they couldn't get it done after spending all that money. Texas Tech is and will always be a house of cards. 2 1 Quote

Being the face of NIL meant trickle effects to helping others in the sport get more money too. She seems like a good person who cared what younger fans were looking up to as well. And every sport now is almost about NIL mercenaries everywhere the game has changed lol 2 Quote

I tried espnu but that wasn’t much better. Maybe they will improve but these are first world issues we are Champs 🤘 ESPNU was equally cringe. It was like the View. All about the announcers. 😴 Quote

Ho him, Texas wins another championship doesn’t have the same drama as historically mediocre program rises above it all and beats the big dog. Not any different than people wanting Indiana to beat OSU in football last year. It’s a cross I think we all willingly will bear to be a perennial power in most of the sports we participate! Don’t expect it to change as long as we are the team to beat Quote

Jordy Bahl Frahm likely took less money to go home to Nebraska and build that program (her home state) into a contender. To me that's more worthy. Karlyn Pickens was interviewed and said she was offered a ton more money (likely by Tech) but stayed at Tennessee because it means something to try to finish what you started. Reese Atwood was contacted by Tech last year during the WCWS and said no thanks I'm staying at Texas. Teagan Kavan has interviewers pull in who she believes should be recognized that usually do not get the spotlight (Altemeier). Those types of actions have more impact imo. 4 Quote
