Yep. I was at a bar during college and remember a dbag Florida fan arguing with me before that game. “What’s Nebraska gonna do to us, run the wishbone?” I thought of a him a few times that night. From a Texas standpoint, that game created a villain. Spurrier hired Bob Stoops to fix the defense. Florida won the title in ‘96. Two years later, OU hired Stoops to replace John Blake. So, in a way, Texas having to deal with Bob Stoops for nearly two decades is Nebraska’s fault. 2 Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Honestly just about the most extreme position you can put the defense in—you either have to cover four wide or solidify the middle of the field. Fairly impossible to do both. I agree, Jeff—hope Sark tries it. Quote

Yep and don’t forget we had a hand in Florida winning that title in 96. Without it Stoops’ stock might not be high enough to get the OU job. Quote

The Spurrier Gators remind me of the Dirk Mavs: softer than Charmin all but once. Quote
Dawson Yarbrough Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is the type of run that fits the best parts of Arch’s run style. Probably perfect for early downs? Goodbye 2nd and 9. Quote

Not trying to get you started but Dirk's biggest problem was Cuban and the trash front office. Dirk was "soft" early in his career but that wasn't true especially after Nash left and he was forced to carry the load. Quote
