The Texas Longhorns begin their NCAA-record 39th trip to the College World Series looking for their NCAA-record 89th CWS victory against the Georgia Bulldogs. Texas (45-13) and Georgia (51-12) didn't meet in the regular season or the SEC Tournament, both of which the Bulldogs won en route to the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Neither team has dropped a game yet in the NCAA Tournament.

After a weather delay at Charles Schwab Field, the Longhorns and Georgia will get going at 7:45 p.m.

Well heck!  Not sure why we are even playing the games for the College World Series this year.  ESPN has already anointed Georgia the winner.  Is it possible to slobber over a team as much ESPN incessantly continues to do whenever I watch their pathetic broadcasts.

   🤢🤮

No way they can slobber over Georgia as much as they did Canedy and Tech in the WCWS

The lineup Texas released has Ethan Mendoza hitting cleanup, while the official lineup the NCAA put out has Temo Becerra in the No. 4 hole.
