Harbaugh to NFL - The Repercussions

Recommended Posts

Jim Harbaugh is headed back to the NFL.

What does that mean to the University of Texas?

Well, just like when Nick Saban retired, players of the coach's former school, Michigan, now have 30 days to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

There are a multitude of players on the Michigan roster that Texas would likely have interest in, including defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson. However, neither player has openly mentioned leaving Ann Arbor following the national title win.

For right now, it is almost entirely conjecture.

However, in the coming days, we'll see if many Michigan players enter the portal and if the Horns are truly interested in any of them.

My pure dream fantasy domino effect with Harbaugh to the NFL:

1. Mason Graham & Will Johnson enter the portal, visit Texas together immediately & walk out of the visit with a commitment from both.

2. Brian Kelly accepts the Michigan head coaching job.

3. Harold Perkins enters the portal, visits & commits to Texas.

4. Harlem Berry & Dakorien Moore decommit from LSU & end up in our 2025 class.

One can hope 😂

Do they have any Texas kids on the roster by chance ?

None of major consequence.

But they have several defensive players who could be immediate guys for Texas, as well as some of their back ups on the DL.

You are officially invited to join the Wednesday night OTF Livestream, because I know you want to talk about this. Or have you already gone live? 🤣

Michigan really isn't too active in the state. They do have Ike Iwunnah from Garland that is on the DL. RB Tavierre Dunlap was a depth piece, he's from Del Valle.

Freshman Enow Etta might be an intriguing piece. Originally from Keller. Came in at 6-foot-5 and 295 lbs this season.

Wow. He and the Jackson kid could be a force

Mike Elston. The only tie I know of that he has to Sark/Texas is that Elston and Terry Joseph worked together at Notre Dame together for Brian Kelly.

I don’t know a lot about him, would he be a good fit at Texas?

Moore may keep the current roster, but he doesn't seem to have the gravitas for the media, donors, and the long haul. He's loyal but is he going to inspire the $, and is he up beating Ohio State after Harbaugh leaves and the sanctions come rolling in! Much recruit on reduced visits, and perhaps less scholarships, too! This is not the job it was 18 months ago before Jim decided to go this year rather than last year or the last year before when he said never again. Oh yeah, I  remember when.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the job posting stipulations and guidelines for Texas? Michigan has a 7 day posting policy and that very well could cause them to lose a lot of players. Incredibly dumb rule and hope that never comes to bite us

Texas something similar. But remember Herman was fired and Texas announced that Sark had been hired a day later.
