There has been buzz all over the place today about a potential big development brewing with LSU recruiting

Obviously, there is speculation as to who it could be - or what it could involve. I will pass along this: today brought a lot of back-and-forth today between the teams and 5-start Easton Royal’s camp - and not just Easton, but ranging from mom to his representation.

Royal is set to visit Texas this weekend, which is the school he’s been committed to since November.

Now, as for the buzz today. LSU has been working really hard behind the scenes to get him to not visit Texas and get into the spot they are saving for him in LSU’s class. It’s not the first time LSU has done this, but this time there was some real traction gained to the point where multiple sources (on multiple sides of his recruitment) confirmed a call to Texas was made and a conversation had about where things stood and whether or not he would make the the upcoming visit.

After talks between a lot of different parties involved, things shifted to the point where Royal and his mother agreed that he should see it through and make the Austin visit. With how long he’s been committed, they felt it is the right thing to do by still making the official visit given it’s the very last official visit he will make before he finalizes a decision.

I do know that even as of this afternoon as I typed this, LSU was on the phone still working to see if they can get things shut down and him flipped.

Texas is obviously doing a lot of work that’s now been put into overdrive to ensure they can still get the visit to happen this weekend.

Sam has led the way in this recruitment as, to my knowledge, the only person out there getting quotes from Easton Royal each week. From just speaking with Sam, the word we have from trusted sources is that as of 5 PM on Wednesday, the Royal family is telling Texas they still plan to visit this weekend.

Of course, it’s only Wednesday. There is still time for that decision to change… And we’ve already heard rumblings of changes potentially happening that led to this post, so LSU isn’t going to slow down that push.

Toss in Florida, and obviously Royal is being pulled in a lot of directions.

All that being said, I still feel that when December gets here, he’s a Tiger. Sam and myself will keep y’all informed each step of the way, but that’s the latest from behind the scenes on a wild Wednesday….."

Pushing a kid lol already seen a kid shy away from Kiffin after he negative recruited another school on his OV😂😂😂😂

Agree I have me my wife and 2 daughters so I get to enjoy drama daily so I come here to bully that Aggie Gerry the sooner 5 foot CJ and a few people I call friends here

I like Shea a lot. And he is dialed in at LSU. That said, I think he can only report what he’s being told. I think there’s a healthy dose of wishful thinking in that report.

Now, it may ultimately turn true at some point. But for now, like I said, for LSU to think they can get a recruit who has not been committed to them, to flip to them and then also stop taking a visit to the school he’s been committed to for a long time is presumptuous to a level I think is overdone.

Ah yes the reliable Shea Dixon who predicted LSU to land Colin Simmons, Jonah Williams and Kade Phillips. 

 

I am expected to believe he won't be visiting the school he has been committed too since 2025 with the longest relationship in place because the team that was running 3rd got him to shut his recrutiment down immedately when Mulgheta is his agent.

If this is what happens with the hint of easton royale flipping ..i cant even imagine what happens if he actually flips.  @Joe Zura wont even be a voice of reason then.  Anarchy will take over and gerry will go full texag.  Jeff may throw away his cards, cj will still be single, jordan may grow facial hair.  Not sure we are prepared

You would have lived ellis mania.  Went to it in vegas one time.  They had a blindfolded mma royal rumble where everyone wore shock collars and celebrities controlled them.  One of the guys eas tony hawk and he was having way too much fun. Watching a man mid swing drop to the mat shaking from the shock.  Glorious
