We do not expect Greedy James to remain in Texas' 2027 class. 

We expect him to flip to LSU. 

The Longhorns obviously liked him but have him tiered differently than others from an NIL standpoint. 

There's still confidence inside the UT offices that this CB class is going to be a strong one. 

One source said there will be a lot to "love" about how it finishes. 

I'm not sure if James' likely flip will impact Dhillon McGee. I lean no. I think he's going to Penn State. 

Texas is still heavily in on landing Montre Jackson on Saturday and Brandon Sherrard on July 1.

Texas isn’t sweating it. The CB class is still loading like a freight train. Greedy can enjoy his Tiger Checking Account...that being said, hope he sticks with us.

@Hank South It sounds like Texas viewed him as a CB, correct? I know others have him listed as a safety. What did the staff view him as and what do you feel his long term position will be? I'm not worried nearly as much about CB in this class, but safety is looking a bit thin right now.

Sometimes she goes, and sometimes she doesn’t. Is what it is, thankfully the portal exists for any positions we happen to miss out on in HS recruiting. Hs recruiting is massively important, but the losses hurt less.
