He seems like an Art Briles 2.0 waiting to happen. If they'd go to these lengths over a clear "right vs wrong" issue as this, what else would they be willing to overlook or make justifications for? Not Gerry, but, while I think it might matter a tiny bit, I don't think it will matter much depending on the $ offer. And I hate to play devil's advocate in this situation, but he's a very personable recruiter and spends more time recruiting as a HC than any other HC in the state. 2 Quote

Does Tech really send him to rehab if Sorsby's wagers on IU games and other bets aren't discovered? Because Tech didn't find out until Sorsby told them, which just so happened to be after Sorsby's camp found out folks knew about his gambling problem. I'm all for folks getting better, getting the rehab and treatment they need, but man, everything felt so disingenuous about this from the jump. The insulting part is that they thought a few weeks in rehab is enough to beat an addiction. It's an on going process. You'll likely relapse. The fact they thought that was good enough and that he's good to go was disgusting. Not to mention how insulting it was. I don't think they're getting enough heat for it. Also think the fact that he's still trying to justify it is disgusting. 2 1 Quote

Addicts are still at high risk after going through rehab. A lot of addicts go through rehab 7-8 times. I think it was unrealistic and disingenuous for Tech to expect him to be restored after one rehab. Quote
