If Brown and Smothers dont pan out, it will look dumb to have let him walk. 1 Quote

The staff couldn't count on him getting back to top form with Cooper on the way or other options in the portal. Quote

He always seemed to have a nasty physical streak when he was playing in 2024 and I thought he would slide right into the line up last season as a starter. @CJ Vogelany insight you can share about Neto at Texas?! 1 Quote
4thandFive Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago What would the Texas fanbase have done (not to mention the brass) if Sark didn’t go to the portal for RB but stuck with Baxter and he either a) was still a step slow or b) got injured again and our running game was no factor at all again? Quote

I’m seeing bigger backs and thumpers on some of the top teams. I sure hope Smothers and Brown work out. Quote

Granted he rehabbed as a pro. Quote

It sounds like they have some pony packages that will use the bigger backs. Quote
4thandFive Posted 11 minutes ago Posted 11 minutes ago I don’t care how big the RBs are so long as our OL can open the holes and they can hit the TD gear. 1 Quote

No one is denying they can still be good players. Barnes wanted to be guaranteed his spot. Baxter wanted more pay than his production warranted. Do you want players that don’t want to compete? Do want someone that hasn’t shown he is back to his former level, and haven’t played a full season ever, to take your NIL from players that are guaranteed P4 production players? Quote
