They’re not doing this for kids who are already ranked or have D-1 offers. This is for the kid who wants to play college football at some level.

I still disagree with Rivals charging kids/parents for Rivals employees to do the job they are already doing and were hired to do.

Nah. Rivals can't scout every kid out there. This will allow a kid who is not known to get scouted. Win for the kid, hopefully. It's not buying a high ranking, just a chance to be seen.

People pay for recruiting info there from people who have never seen the recruits play live in person and then never see them play live in college... Crazy..

I have mixed emotions on this. On the one hand, a kid who cannot afford to go to a camp can get evaluated. If they like the film maybe it works out.  That is cheaper than a camp, travel expenses etc.  I filled my truck up yesterday and it was $150.  
 

On the other hand, if the kid gets nothing out of it,  I’d be skeptical.  $450 is probably worth 2-3 hours of real person time and discussion with the kid, and if they get that it may be worth it. 
 

Having said that, as the parent of a high school football player, I would not pay it.
