Moderators Blake Munroe Posted 23 hours ago Moderators Posted 23 hours ago How does Cam Coleman’s start at Texas compare to Adonai Mitchell and Matthew Golden? All three arrived with high expectations out of the transfer portal. Through his first five games, Coleman has 17 catches for 318 yards and five touchdowns on 30 targets. That puts him just three yards behind Mitchell’s five-game total, with more touchdowns than either Mitchell or Golden had at that point. The graphic below breaks down each receiver’s first five games at Texas, including targets, catches, yards and touchdowns. How do those numbers line up with your impression of Coleman’s start? 21 1 Quote
akhookem Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago If he catches that ball vs Ohio state the talk is a lot different about him. Say what you want about his blocking, we didn’t pay him millions to block. AD was a poor blocker too. Hopefully he can improve with his physicality but I think he’ll have a great year as long as our OL holds up and if Arch plays good. Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 22 hours ago Moderators Posted 22 hours ago Never did I think his numbers would mirror that of his time at Auburn, yet here we are. 5 1 1 Quote

Now show blocking effort. Golden smokes these two and Coleman is worse than AD. 1 Quote
Deep in the heart Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Interesting looking at it like that. Wish he wasn't such a liability in the run and screen game. Quote
TexasMDcoach Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Man I hope his numbers progress through the season like Golden's did. I recall he was really good from about this point on. 1 Quote
watty7796 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Humble opinion but Cam is better than either Golden or Mitchell in contested catch situations. YAC is another conversation altogether. Mitchell ended as one of the best red zone wrs since Sark was hired. Golden could take a 5 yard slant to the house. They are all very different in skill set and how they fit into this offense. They also had very different QBs delivering the ball. Id be curious to see how the above mentioned wrs would fare with the opposite QB. Quote
ArizonaLonghorn Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Now compare (reported) NIL payments and you might find similar on-field production for maybe triple the price tag, something like that? Quote
nineliveslost Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago wow. I guess I was more critical of him than needed. He still needs to improve his atrocious blocking Quote

f1revo Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Short answer is, he doesn't. Will be drafted lower than them. Golden was so good. Quote
tsip92 Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago We all know Coleman is really good at the downfield contested catches but how does he do running shorter routes and getting open for chain movers? Quote

Great graphic, would say Golden came as a great addition, but emerged as the go to receiver as the year went on. Will see who rises for this year Quote
