Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 1 hour ago Moderators Posted 1 hour ago Not an easy last two weeks. So I wanted to pose the question for some optimism. Going into the game vs. Ole Miss this weekend, what area of the game do you have the most belief in? What's the most likely outcome to victory? OR, if Texas wins this football game, it is because ____ happens? *** A couple or bright spots recently. – Texas has scored first in each game this year outside of the Ohio State contest. – The Longhorns have touchdowns on three of its last four opening possessions. – The defense has allowed just 3 points in first quarters vs. SEC teams. – Longhorns defense has allowed 21 points just one time this season. – Texas defense is 9th in the country in points per drive allowed, at 1.34. – The Texas defense has allowed the fewest 20+ yard plays in the entire country (12, tied with Notre Dame). 4 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 1 hour ago Author Moderators Posted 1 hour ago Going to be interesting in the time of possession/defensive energy department. Ole Miss is 8th in the country in seconds per snap offensively at 23.5 seconds. They go quick. The tempo really catches up to teams as well. Texas is 46th in the country at 25.6. Quick offensive drives that don't result in points from Texas could really hamper the defense on Saturday. Aka, no three-and-outs. Quote
HookemFromOkc Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago On a scale of 1-10 -1 No confidence in this team until we start winning again. I was ready to give up the season last year down 17 at miss state....I am there again now. Quote
HalfmileHorn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If Texas wins this game, it is because a mild offensive shootout happens. Quote
John F. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’m optimistic that because it’s desperation time, we’ll see an uptick in snaps from Bishop/Cooper. And that the law of averages comes into play and the defense finally causes some turnovers. Quote

It's a bummer the last person to create a turnover chance is now expected to be sidelined (Simmons). Quote

4thandFive Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Sark replaces Center and QB and runs the ball with Cooper. Quote
DanielOnorato Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago Not optimistic because of sarks stubbornness but I'm hoping Derrek Coopers name wasn't in invisible ink on the injury report like he was last week. Last time we saw him he looked like Texas best running back vs Oklahoma. Quote

krzy4ut Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago 0.0% just like Blutarsky's gpa in Animal House. When I see video of Arch simply not looking, seeing open receivers and the OL with lookout blocks, I have ZERO confidence this ship is righted this year. Not with Flood, not with Arch. 1 Quote
Beard N Balls Bundle Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago None until Sark shows he's committed to changing what he does to the needs of the team. I have no confidence or reason to believe that his ego will let him do that Quote
Shmatt Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago Uh idk, I’m just hoping we’re not as bad as we look and we get over whatever type of yips this team has. Hoping that Sark can break his team and offense out of slump and prove that he is still one of the best coaches in CFB Quote
Sanka Decaf Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Texas starts first on offense (regardless of who wins the toss). Texas scores. Texas stalls and Ole Miss puts up around 20 in the first half. Get's over-confident. Texas switches QBs to start the second half and the offense starts to move. 3Q is a bit of a shootout, but Texas inches closer. The crowd is back in it and Texas makes a comeback in the 4th Q. Whoever has the ball last scores to win the game. If all this plays out this way, I think it's Texas winning. 1 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 43 minutes ago Author Moderators Posted 43 minutes ago what might a KJ Lacey offense look like? Quote

Tres Comas Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago The only area I have faith in is Will Muschamp's unit because he's a competent coordinator Quote
