pinkman_90 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Just now, Hashtag said: The NFL wanted more safer kickoffs and NOT eliminate them. The new kickoff rules you're trying to parade here actually increase kickoff returns. Before the change this year touchback rate was 90+% and now it's down to about 65%. So they're actually getting more kickoff returns this year than last year because of those rule changes. I bet they also change the touchback rule to penalize teams just kicking touchbacks for the 2025 season. Thats exactly what I said? Quote
goattalk100 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 He’s been making big plays this year so that’s a miss in the secondary. Next man up! 1 Quote
qaertyisthatdude Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 (edited) Awful news for that young man. Wish him a speedy recovery and to come back next year stronger than ever. As for this season, Barron, Taaffe, Mukuba, McDonald, and Rubell are more than capable of holding down the fort. I trust Kwiatkowski, Nansen, Gideon, and Joseph to keep this secondary humming. Alex Butler Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 He should get a redshirt right @CJ Vogel since he missed several games already?! Hate this for him, but hoping for a speedy full recovery! Did Makuba get dinged up too? Quote
GoHorns1 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I think Derek missed two games because of injuries therefore he only played in 4 games and can redshirt. 1 Quote
FrancoBevo3.0 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Defense took a big hit there. Bummer Quote

bourbasted Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Sad for DW and the D will miss him. Heal up and come back stronger next year. Quote
Neil Leininger Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Looks like Williams took a cheap shot as well on the kick return where he got injured. The Sooner came from the side and Williams was slowing up and just got knocked on his ass, but immediately grabbed for his knee. 1 Quote

He’s gonna have a long rehab ahead of him before getting ready to play next year. Quote
HudGar1922 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 is Xavier filsamine just not ready for any snaps or special teams reps? Quote
