Texas LB Anthony Hill Jr. has been named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the SEC for his efforts Saturday vs. Kentucky.

Hill recorded 10 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks.

However, Hill was not named a Finalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation's top linebacker in the country.

It was a straight up snub.

That’s Highway robbery!  In a year when there is no generational backer, Hill was heads and shoulders above everyone else including the finalist.  Why they left him out as a finalist is just wrong.

That award has Stutsman's name on it. ABC did the whole Boz campaign... and that Alabama win and the glazing added by Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreet got em sold on the blow-up, but we know AHJ is the real work.🤘🏿🫡

They’re assuming Hill will probably get the prize next year as an upperclassman…no other explanation if you simply look at this season’s stats.  Hill deserves to be a finalist

Expect Hill to show up with explosive performances at Texas v AtM.
