Dang. What else does Texas need to prove?  Back to back 11 win seasons. Back to back playoff appearances. We play tons of young guys. Good grief

It's a different dynamic now with NIL now. Texas will be fine either way. Just be happy that Texas is one of the HAVES and can go fill their needs via portal.

I sure hope it’s not KJ Lacey.

While I don’t want to lose anyone, I think Lacey would be least impactful to future success given Bell is signed up for the following year and there is rumor of Manning staying more than a year more.

The portal is fine. But we can't grab dl with that upside on a yearly basis because they don't hit the portal that often. And when they do it's substantially more nil to land those guys

You see why Saban retired and the Sark to NFL rumors are being pushed so hard...

NIL is one thing but this calendar is so messed up. Imagine having the draft between the end of the regular season and wild card weekend then the next week free agency opens. Makes no sense

The problem with national recruiting is that Momma wants to see her baby play every week.  I still say we're better just owning Texas and adding in needed pieces nationally, but Sark isn't asking my opinion and he is doing OK without it.

IT and 247 are reporting they think we hold onto Charles and FFrench.

Mack Brown made this mistake and Texas recruiting went RAT EXCREMENT because of it. Sark is doing it the right way.

Another recruiting note

Fasten your seatbelt, there is going to be turbulence leading up to Wednesday.

The Joseph Mbatchou flip will not be the last commitment Texas loses in this cycle.

I'm not going to say the who because it's the prospects news to drop, but it is 100% happening.

I'll also say this ...

There are a couple of positive developments happening as well.

Yes, but Texas will get their people at dt. Trust me, Texas has/is already have portal dts they've contacted already behind close doors  🚪. Alot is being done behind the scenes.

At some point Texas will have to break through on recruiting high end DTs. The portal thing is not sustainable long term.
