The fireworks continue!

Texas earns its second verbal commitment following their Junior Day from Saturday, this time in the 2025 class.

Pleasant Grove EDGE Lance Jackson has announced his verbal commitment to Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns.

Jackson, a 6-foot-5 pass rusher spent most of his time with Texas DC Pete Kwiatkowski while on campus yesterday. The Longhorns made a run in his recruitment during the football season and were quick to green-light him for the class.

The 2025 class is now up to five members, as Jackson now joins Emaree Winston, KJ Lacey, Brandon Brown and Anthony Williams. Great start to the class.

Great commitment for the horns! One question though. If he's already 6'6 as he said yesterday in the livestream and his dad was a basketball player, could he grow too big for an edge and perhaps switch to offense? He did play TE for his high school right? We also need athletic Tight Ends like JT was.

I think you're on to a little something. He's plus-sized athlete but I don't think he'll outgrow defense. Maybe he outgrows DE. Just definitely a big-time athlete with his size.
