Out coached

I call BS on that. Not a huge Quinn fan but he played well. We couldn’t run the ball and Skettabo kicked our butt.
But… we are 13-2. Enjoy it for a moment

Quinn wasn’t the one having false start penalties or missing field goals or not blocking his man on the line.  He didn’t run into the kicker or give up a fake punt conversion.

Yeah, he threw an interception and maybe one or two other questionable passes, but he ran for a TD and threw 3 others.

I know the first two passes were great but........... My feelings wouldnt be hurt if we started thinking more along the lines of west coast style passes of 15 yards or less. Quinn seems to do alot better with those as his deep stuff just seems to float a bit too much and that will get us in trouble more times tthan not

Quinn put the ball in the endzone 3 passes in a row when we needed it most, the first on a 4th and 13.  He was the player of the game.  Also got us in position for 2 game winning FGs at the end of regulation.

That's about all that needs to be said. Completely out coached no clue what to do on offense. And any quarterback on campus or recruit could  outperform Quinn

Moronic last sentence. Should be banned

I understand people’s frustration with Quinn. However, we do not win without Quinn. For all the criticism heaped upon him we all need to heap equal amounts or more for how he led the team twice into FG range in the last two minutes. And then in the overtimes he throws two TDs. So stop your whining about Quinn and enjoy the victory.

Yeah that might be the offensive lines problem. They couldn’t establish a run game. That has zero to do with Ewers. Does he miss field goals? Did he give Muhammad instructions to lazily cover a receiver on a running backs throw?  The receiver came back on a slow developing play, and Muhammad basically just stood there.

I guess it was Quinn's fault they averaged 1.8 YPC rushing? I suppose Quinn missed those two FG's? He was certainly the cause of all those false starts and personal fouls especially on defense. Lest not forget about his blown coverage on on the Skattabo TD pass. Yep he needs to go quick fast and in a hurry.

I’ve been critical of Quinn but today wasn’t his fault, he played well.  As said before, when there’s no running game, Quinn is limited because he himself is not a runner like Colt was so he can’t create anything if the passes aren’t there.

Texas needs to figure out their running game woes or next week will not be fun.

Texas also needs to find a kicker that is accurate stat.

Quinn is who he is. You live by the Quinn and die by the Quinn. Take the good with the bad. I do think that we had a major talent disparity vs ASU and Sark can’t seem to capitalize on that. It’s been like that a lot of the season. It’s not just this game.
Personally I think Sark should have a dedicated OC. But that just me.

I don’t get people like you.    When we can’t run the ball, we are very one dimensional.  We averaged 1.8 yards per carry.  I am not sure a coach can just start calling new run plays.  Quinn was great today.  He drove the team down for two FG attempts in the fourth quarter.  He checked into the TD on 4-13.  He threw a beautiful pass to Helms, then to Golden again.

Let me give you a Texas history lesson.  In 1969 at Fayetteville, Texas turned the ball over 6 times, they were losing 0-14 at the start of the fourth quarter.  Texas was beat until James Street made two plays.  Just two.  If he didn’t make those plays, he would have been just another good Texas QB.  Quinn made the plays when he had to.  That 4-13 TD pass ranks up there with Young’s run, Streets 2 plays, and James Brown 4th  pass against Nebraska.  I would include the TDs Earl made against Arkansas and OU in 77.  You should be applauding Quinn tonight and file it away in Texas lore.
