Just leave it there for now. Our hit rate for ex Bama players isn't very good at all tbh😂🤘 Speaking of former Bama players... I thought I saw where Agiye Hall was knocking on Kalen's door. If true that takes some chutzpah.

Alex Butler
3 hours ago, CJ Vogel said: Quite the frustrating second half of the season for Isaiah Bond. After the ankle injury against Oklahoma, he was never the same impactful player for the Longhorns and it was a large reason why there was so many stagnant moments in my eyes. The first five games were what Texas signed up for. I don’t know what the draft grade is for Bond, but it sure isn’t in the first round or probably close to where he wants it to be after the last seven games. I’d love to see him back!! With Arch’s deep ball prowess plus Ffrench and Wingo as deep threats Bond can be that big time game breaker like Sark had at Bama!
James Wang
i think two things: 1) Texas could have won if they played perfect (particularly, stopping the last OSU score before half, then punching in score at end of game, instead of turning it over) 2) Both Texas failures highlight the simple fact that the OL needs to be better. Sark likes to throw, so they clearly prioritize pass blocking over run blocking development. If OL is great at running, they can get more 1st downs and "earn right to throw". They obviously would have won this game.

tnewgard
Felt like Bolden should have been getting his reps anyway. One guy made plays every time he got a chance one guy totally checked out

Jet sweep at the goal line or use him as a decoy in motion with a fake of a jet sweep before handing off on a dive would've at least changed the eyes of the defense. CoachBobbyFinstock
Bond moving on is good for the program. Very disappointing how it turned out. Texas needed more and didn’t get it. Edited January 12 by CoachBobbyFinstock

Even with the injury it seemed like his heart wasn't in it, his routes were off and his drops especially the one last night were becoming more frequent.

A healthy Bond is among the most feared, explosive players in the country. We should do whatever it takes to retain him. Also, Bolden is out of eligibility, so your solution isn’t much of a solution. A selfish reciever isn't scary or fearful for anyone but the team that employs him. At any moment, he can leave you hanging, example being this past season. He left Quinn hanging many a time... not attacking the football, being lazy in routes and effort, etc. He needs to move on and Lockett, Terry, and McCutcheon will more than fill his shoes. We also have the kids that redshirted last year, Livingston and Butler. These Alabama one year rentals haven't panned out so well. Of course I hope NiBlack stays, but it wouldn't surprise me if he left, too. Edited January 12 by 817 Boxing B 🤘🏿
harveycmd
Wingo can more than replace Bond. Another spring in the playbook and conditioning with Becton will work wonders. Get him, Livingstone, Moore and a freshman or two on the same page with Arch, and production will follow. If you can get a speed guy in the portal, fine, but there's enough talent already.

FootLaw
Bond has his own problems and he isn't coming back. Dude basically quit on his team. Don't believe me? Go watch the limited film post-injury. My guess is he was initially injured and took the "I'm not ruining my NFL career for Texas" mentality afterwards (aka quit on his team). 3
FatherofMinky
World class speed, but Bond’s Effort and Hands were lacking. Move onto the next.
harveycmd
I'd much rather keep Blue than Bond. Blue makes plays and scores touchdowns. He doesn't pout or quit.
