syracusehorn Posted January 28, 2025 Posted January 28, 2025 I had always heard that Choice was a guy looking to be a Head Coach. I don't know if an NFL gig as a position coach is the best pathway for that ambition. I could be wrong. Whether he really has the goods to be a head coach is an open question. I have my doubts. But that's been the talk as far as I can recall. Quote

JMarquette Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Choice deserves more than that sh*t show of a franchise. 2 Quote
pinkman_90 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 He must really want to get out of the recruiting game to take that job. Not sure there’s a more unappealing assistant job in the NFL right now. Maybe RB coach for the Giants. 1 Quote
.45s Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 As a Cowboy's fan, I think Choice would help, but there would be too many hindrances from Jones to make it a good experience for him or to make a huge impact+. I think he is doing a great job at Texas and would hate to see him leave, but know that it is probably inevitable at some point unless he is promoted. Since he is supposed to be such a good recruiter he might be better off making his next move to being a promotion in the college ranks to OC or something like that. Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted February 1, 2025 Moderators Posted February 1, 2025 Told nothing will happen officially until after National Signing Day on February 5th. Texas will know the fate of its RB coach once NSD has come and gone. 2 1 Quote

Jbro52 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 With a growing family I wonder if the extra time off is something he’s looking into 1 Quote

Perhaps to get through the quiet period and into the dead period, which begins February 3rd. I’m not entirely sure. Quote
Jbro52 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 I wonder if Choice could be using this to get a raise, I’m on the wagon to make him the highest paid rb coach in college football 3 Quote
Realist Horn Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Man, if I am Choice, I’m waiting for a coach who has more skins on the wall and who won’t be gone in a year or two. 2 Quote
Chinadoll10 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Choice is smart. Sark is smart. Texas will be okay. 2 Quote
.45s Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 Dallas just hired Derrick Foster as their RB coach. 1 Quote
