Got lucky and made a Finals run. The fanbase loved Iverson because of the highlight crossover and tremendous athleticism. Problem was, he was a terrible leader because he didn't like to "practice" and was therefore inconsistent most of the time in clutch situations. Meanwhile, Kobe (who was drafted the same year 1996) loved to "practice" and won three straight titles while Iverson couldn't decide to work hard enough. Kobe had Shaq. True, but he worked; and he worked his way to titles without Shaq. History proves you better drop the putzes who don't want to work. The Lakers are the idiots here. Iverson was and is a Hall of Famer and the best scorer ever under 6'. He was such a "terrible" leader that he took Aaron McKie, Eric Snow, Dikembe Mutombo and freaking Larry Hughes to the NBA finals and got a game off the 15-0 Lakers in game 1. AI carried Philly for multiple seasons and was ostracized and ridiculed for not making white folks feel comfy and safe. I agree with you on Luka and Iverson resting on their laurels when it comes to work vs natural talent, but your excoriation of Iverson's character is overblown and misguided.
