rocketman Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Although it's not likely , could Texas go big enough to hire Jay Wright if he wanted to come? Quote
Longhorngreg Posted March 16 Posted March 16 While Jay Wright may not have a buyout he will come with a huge price tag likely in the $10 million per season range plus a HUGE NIL commitment. Quote

Rumors are NIL is the reason he quit in the first place. But watch out. If RT catches fire in the tourney, all this new HC talk will be put on hold for at least another year. 1 1 Quote

Vegas lines mean nothing. The games have to be played. If he wins 3 or more in this tourney he will be back imo Quote

That LSU team came to Austin and beat Weltlich's best team here by 9. Ever hear the story about Knight's last championship team trailing LSU late in the Midwest final in 1987? bierce Posted March 17 Posted March 17 7 minutes ago, CJ Vogel said: Can I interest anyone in VCU to the Final Four again this year? I like their path. Not me. First up is a BYU team that had a 9 game winning streak before losing to Houston in the Big 12 tournament. Those 9 wins included wins at Arizona, at ISU, and neutral against ISU as well as a 34 point beatdown of Kansas. Quote
bierce Posted March 17 Posted March 17 But back to the buyout issue, rising assistants and brilliant mid-major coaches don't have big buyouts. Quote

You're right. I'm wrong. I saw the game being played on Thursday and assumed it was a round one instead of a playoff game. Odd that they had second round games on Monay that year. Quote
