They just replayed the commitment and interviewed her with her family there. They do not look happy. Just an observation. You would think they would be a bit more jovial. Oh well.

I didn't watch, but this could be a plethora of things that we don't know.

Was it the crowd's reaction?  Did they want Texas to match ou's offer (of whatever outside of style of play, maybe even that) and Vic said no thanks so they were forced to pick ou?

We'll likely never find out, but time to move on.  I was going to post earlier - 1 player does not make or break a team, though it certainly helps to have elite talent.  Kevin Durant was elite talent for Texas and they did not win the national title, didn't even come close.

She had to tell her whole family to clap after she announced her commitment so that’s definitely not a good sign for where they wanted her.

Not pissing one bit but he hasn't yet hope he does. Move on. And yes he still got beat

Extremely negative take on Vic. I have no problem with Vic not matching ou’s offer but as with all UT coaches, the culture is more important than any one single player.

I guess this is the point where I acknowledge that I have never seen her play, but I am fully convinced that she is too short to get her shot off against a decent defender and will be a complete defensive liability in college. We dodged a bullet today!

Or, as I am typing this she might look at her watch, realize that it is 3:31 pm and ou still sucks, and switch her commitment to the good guys. If that were to happen, welcome aboard Aaliyah!

No it's not I love Vic. Diaz he got beat and he did. It's facts

I’m personally not sad she chose boomer. I’ve thought of her as a diva and someone who loves the spotlight. She knew that wouldn’t go over well at all with Vic.

I love AI, it makes research so easy.  Just being the #1 player overall doesn't guarantee anything, especially after the UCONN dynasty run ended.  If Vic can get a dynamic outside threat, I still trust him to eventually get a ship.

Not surprised given OU can give her PT immediately and their offense fits her better than Vic's. It's a bummer we put so much effort into trying to get her but we'll be fine with our Aaliyah. Crump will fit well into our 3/4 position and create space with her outside shooting ability. We just need to find a big and more outside shooting in the portal.

I think Chavez would have created some tough decisions for Vic especially if Harmon/Preston are back next year. Defensively, she is not even close to the level that we play at Texas. Her gift is that quick release and shot making but she'll have to get a little stronger physically to be able to score efficiently in the SEC. It'll be fun watching Harmon and Preston try to shut her down next year.

This was awkward to watch. Even her own family didn't appear to be excited and she had to tell them to cheer along with the silenced audience. I think its a strange decision from a marketing perspective but I guess everyone is entitled to his/her own priorities.
