Well they tried to be and successfully landed Dylan Railoa and were very active in trying to get Michael Terry III.  I think if Nebraska had been more successful last year with Rhule they would have been able to sustain that momentum.

Nebraska hasn’t been a player in the last 20 plus years.

Nebraska is a victim of being in a state with ZERO talent and bordered by states with equally low talent. They are also a victim of demographics too.

They caught lightning in a bottle when they had Dr Tom Osborne as their longtime HC. And Bob Devanney before Osborne. Under those two NU was a juggernaut for decades.

It's another example of a university having the right guy in place... and then comes a succession of wrong HCs and all the warts underneath the surface that were hidden pop up again and the whole program grinds to a halt. We've seen it in Austin before.

Here's hoping Coach Sark can keep Texas rolling for a long time...
