McCoyColt Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Texas has plenty of NIL funds chillax. Why use all your money up in July to create momentum when you can create momentum with on the field results first. We battle in December 3 Quote
Bobbers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago One thing that is important to point out- KJ is not a 3 down back in the SEC imo. He is not carrying the ball 25 times a game. He is a 3rd down back who is a difference maker out of the backfield. He is a smaller J Blue. If Aggy gives him 3 down back money, that is a mistake. 1 2 Quote

georgethepunter Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Sark said we don't need a RB. We are going to run a dual QB package in a couple of years. Quote
ChanmanV Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This looks eerily like the WR situation last year. I hope it pans out the same but Chad Scott so far is not the recruiter Tashard Choice was. 1 2 Quote

HookedOnTF Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Chances of a portal rb option developing by spring 27 are decent compared to the chances one of the 5 stars is a bust or blows out an ankle or knee. Sucks but put the money where it is needed most. Quote

CHorn427 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Maybe KJ Edwards will be Mike Elko’s savior when he’s 0-2 vs Texas and trying to pick up his first W in November 2026. Quote

JMarquette Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Sark & returning coaches have earned our trust recruiting, LaAllen Clark & Orphey have done a really good job. Chad Scott is an unproven commodity at this point as Texas’s recruiter of running backs, and that is concerning. 1 5 Quote

Would have like to have him on our squad, of course but there’s still plenty of time and our upcoming season could change a lot of minds easy Wouldn't mind saving the NIL money on 2 this yer and just go get the dude from Florida... 1 Quote

DT recrutiing was abysmal last year at this time till we dropped $$$. 1 Quote

I think he did a great job considering the circumstances. Being the follow up act to Choice was never going to be an easy walk. And money talks. I didn't realize that this was an NIL recruitment. Should have known better though. You flash enough money in front of most kids, they will break. Quote
TTown Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Not gonna trash the kid. $ game and Aggy is spending. But this is a big disappointment no way to sugar coat it. Unless these new contracts post House make it harder to decommit, aka buyouts etc. We will play long ball that seems to work. Sure we have more surprises coming bad and good🤘 2 Quote

Texas shouldn’t let that guy walk with the larger aggy offer UNLESS they are very confident in landing Ojo, Krempin, and Turntine in the class. A bird in hand. Instead, we will sweat bullets as OL who prefer Texas may choose aggy or Tech because they’re getting bigger NIL offers there. At this point, I’m assuming aggy will buy two of Roseborough, Turntine, and Krempin, leaving Texas with one at most. And that leaves us at the whims of Ojo and Cody Campbell. 1 Quote
