georgethepunter Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I like the sound of that. https://www.on3.com/college/texas-longhorns/news/archie-manning-predicts-grandson-arch-will-not-declare-2026-nfl-draft-he-will-be-at-texas/ 8 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 14 hours ago Moderators Posted 14 hours ago Definitely starting two years at Texas ... Archie would probably love for it to be three, but that's probably 50-50'ish 11 Quote
jkates Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Love the Manning approach. They value the development and the college experience (and don't need the quick payday). 5 Quote
Texas84 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Hot take: Heisman and natty, he's gone. Heisman OR natty, he stays. Neither he stays. 2 Quote

I think based on what's been said, he stays at least 2 years regardless. If he wins both Heisman and natty? He could stay and try to repeat both, a feat I don't think has ever been done? 4 Quote

I don't think the NFL gives a damn about Heisman or natty when evaluating QBs. I think it's just the Mannings want to take the pressure off of Arch for now...at least as much as possible...and then we'll see what happens after that. Injury free and I think our chances of a natty go WAY UP! 1 Quote

Tuco Ramirez Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It’ll be interesting to see who has the first draft pick in 2 years and will that influence whether Arch leaves or stays another year. Quote

It won’t matter. Wouldn’t be surprised he plays for 3 years. Eli redshirted then was the backup for a year and started for 3 years at Ole Miss.uu 1 Quote

AusMOJO Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago That's just the media creating hype around the draft, lol. His family has always said they want him to stay in college and grow, there is no rush for him to get to the NFL. Quote

It's fair to assume that, but his family doesn't want him to rush the NFL, they've said this before. They want him to start multiple years in college. We'll see what happens. Quote

Ace Recruiter Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Arch will be at Texas fir the next 2 years. The only question is, will he be there for the next 3 years. Quote

Can you imagine the NIL opportunities if a Texas Qb named Manning wins the heisman and a natty. I know the nfl pays a lot but he would make enough in NIL in 2026 to live the rest of his life. The family truly values development and legacy. I could still see him staying. Quote
