You can't punish future players for the actions of people no longer associated with the school. However, I'm at a loss as to why old wins were not stricken. Under the NCAA's own logic, seems like the punishment should be appleid to the time frame that the cheating occurred. The NCAA takes one step forward and two steps back. Quote

Agreed, basically says cheat your way to a championship, we won't take it away. The revenue the school makes on the championship run will more than make up for any penalty.
