We've talked about the speed of Mosely here so I decided to go rewatch what he was able to do at Stanford. What I see is toughness, catch radius, sure hands, contested catch ability. What I don't see is burst, elusiveness, separation, or speed. Yes, I know Sark is a much better play designer and caller than whatever they have over there at Stanford. Nor am I looking for Worthy/Bond kind of speed, I just don't see the speed and quickness that has been used to describe him at times. That doesn't mean I don't think he'll be a player for us, because I do think there's a role for a player with his skillset. His tape just tempered my expectations is all.

I think he can give this team some of what JWhitt provided in 2023: toughness, downfield blocking, a reliable target on 3rd down who can get to the chains. But he’s also bigger than JWhitt, so he can also offer a big target in the red zone to make the contested catches. We don’t necessarily need him to be a deep threat, because Wingo, Moore, and Livingstone are already filling that role. Mosley adds several capabilities that don’t exist elsewhere on the roster.

This is what I'm saying also. One of my favorite plays was him blocking a db into the kicking net. He's a terrific zone beater, its just his ability to separate from coverage was a little concern. To be fair, in terms of accuracy( ball placement) his qbs didn't do him many favors. Maybe it'll show up for us, I'm hoping it shows up for us. I like his game, he's a glue guy.

I’m a big big fan … need him healthy !

He’s definitely a top 3 WR on this team

I don't doubt that, I just didn't see the burst, elusiveness, or speed. Even on his 62 yard touchdown with a key block he gets caught. Speed isn't the only way to be a great wideout. I just think Sark will have to scheme him open and when he does I have all the confidence in him to male the play if the play is there.

Stanfords O sucks ass lol. The fact he was making as many plays as he did, was great. Hope they're holding him out to get him healthy, because we're going to need him. I think Livingstone, Wingo and Moore are great WR's but having a 4th who's great also helps.

Interesting how they used him on a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage whether it be on reverses, options etc.

Works the sideline extremely well and tough runner after the catch. Reminds me of a taller David Givens, looks like he will fit in tremendously with his versatility.

I mentioned Sark being a better play caller and designer than whatever they have at Stanford. I'm not bashing the young man or saying he can't play. I mentioned everything I liked about his game. I was merely pointing out the speed mentioned here to describe him doesn't show on tape. Fast recievers don't make as many contested catches as he did because they create separation. Whether that be burning you from the jump or the stem at the top of your route.

I wasn't directing my comment at you, just stating that Stanfords O sucked ass. They spent most of the season trying to figure out how to best utilize him. By the time they did, the season was pretty much over.

@Gerry Hamilton isn’t the word that he has some sort of ankle injury? I can’t believe that’s held him out so long during fall camp.

Not sure on what the exact injury is, but he didn’t participate in either scrimmage.

Kobe Bryant is the only NBA player to outscore the opposing team through the first three quarters of a game. This feat was accomplished on December 20, 2005, when Bryant scored 62 points against the Dallas Mavericks, while the Mavericks had only 61 points at the end of the third quarter, according to the NBA

As I recall, one season Babe Ruth out homered all of the teams in the league (not just players).
