The first throw did indeed look like a yip. No question, although even great baseball pitchers throw wild pitches from time to time. The thing is he did not continue that through the end, he got better. Overall I think it was more the respective game plans and preparation, which I said would be the key to winning. On the plus side this game provided a ton of film study for both Arch and Sark. Arch will have a great stat day Saturday and we will hear from outsiders things like sure he can do that against SJState but not the big boys. A can't win scenario as for that PR if he or anyone should concern themselves with it. It will be Florida and OU that will change minds (all except those with Arch Derangment Syndrome)

Rumors are arch will retire mid game the next time he throws an interception. Texas is cooked!

He will be fine. Clear to me that the scheme theyre using isn't conducive to his best assets. But definitely alarming.

Are you saying it’s Sark’s fault, who has worked with multiple Heisman QBs over the years, or maybe our 21-yr old QB is struggling in his 5th career start?

I'm saying if a young QB lacks confidence you should probably game plan and scheme to build confidence. The fact that Ryan Wingo doesn't have a single catch against utep halfway through the third quarter is absolutely disgusting.

If that's a great gameplan, enlighten me.

By gameplan I'd have gone up tempo spread with lots of targets to motion. I think most coaches would be disappointed in their scheme and performance vs utep if Arch was 0-9 consecutively at one point.

I thought Arch was pretty good vs SJSt. But this is about as poor of a performance as I’ve ever seen.  I can’t believe I’m asking this, but with the defense that we have, at what point do you consider moving to Caldwell?  The threat of a completed forward pass may win 10 games this year, but we don’t have that threat right now.

I agree with the up tempo.  That seemed to get us out of a rut against Ohio St.

The wheel route by Wingo was a great call by Sark down at the goal line in the first half.  The QB just can’t over throw the receiver in that situation.

Id have used these three non conference games to use different formations, different players etc.

Safe to say I've learned nothing new this season as far as identity. If anything, more question marks than prior to the season which isnt good. I expected more answers and defined roles on top of an offensive identity. Disappointed.

To come out of this game and have zero concern about Arch is just being stubbornly delusional.  9/22 and can’t seem to complete wide open passes.  It’s shocking to me to believe that we’re all good after 3 consecutive outings now of being below average.  If Arch plays like this in SEC play, we’re not winning any of those games unless our defense dominates which they’ve shown the capability of doing so thus far.  That was a horrible outing to watch.
