The Cal transfer now at Indiana impressed last year in some late night games. At Indiana this season, he's playing on a total other level

Vs. Illinois yesterday: 21 of 23 for 267 yards and 5 TD's

last week vs. Indiana State (yes bad team): 19 of 20 for 270 yards and 5 TD's

I don't care if you are playing against Hemphill High and Hardin High in back-to-back games, 40 of 43 is a wild number over a two game stretch.

Through four games: 76 of 99 for 975 yards and 14 TD's with 0 INT's

Indiana is a better team this season, but doesn't mean they will make playoffs. At Oregon and at Penn State loom ... so they have to avoid an upset around those two.

If Indiana beats Iowa in Kinnick, they will probably make the CFP as long as they take care of business in their games not named Oregon and Penn State.  Even against Oregon and Penn State, they must keep it close for the committee to put them in at 10-2.  Cignetti is a hell of a coach and is IU football’s version of Bob Knight.  I can’t believe I thought IU made a mistake in letting Tom Allen go.  This is why I could never be an athletic director lol

Drafted him on my fantasy team.  What he was able to do on those cal teams was impressive.  Figured he’d take off once in a better system

Come on man 🤣 let's be honest he's going to be a great clipboard holder, practice squad qb, or at best CFL starter.

What does that have to do with anything I posted?

Nothing if you're looking at stats. Everything if you look at the games. I haven't seen many big time throws from him. Much of his numbers are quick hitters and slants getting the ball to his playmakers in space.

We'll see what the grind brings, but he's off to a blazing hot start. That Illinois beatdown was impressive. No way Illinois still belongs in the Top 25 after that complete exposure of their team.

But nothing NFL was posted ... that's just you.

Colt McCoy held a clip board for 20+ million, but played at a very high level in college without being a high-end down field arm talent.

As far as Mendoza and ability to make throws down the field ... he made plenty at Cal last year

He'll be an interesting NFL eval prospect

Backup NFL QB has to be the best jobs in sports, especially if you're considered one of the top backups in the league.

Career Earnings of Notable Backups:

Chase Daniel - 4+ mill
Colt McCoy - 25+ mill
Jacoby Brisett - 30+ mill
Tyrod Taylor - 40+ mill
Andy Dalton - 30+ mill
Marcus Mariota - 30+ mill
Gardner Minshew - 15+ mill

Jameis and Wentz will end up making a ton as backups.
