I will add, I have been told Mateer is also dealing with a knee sprain at the moment as well. Between the hand and the knee, probably not an ideal outlook for Oklahoma as their schedule gets going after Texas.

Good. He is a Jag....

Exactly. Put him out there. I don't think criminal magic will transform him into Josh Allen over the next ten days.

Read it carefully and it makes sense - "Mateer leads the Sooners to shutout the Horns" ?

Guys, clearly he's playing on defense if he's going to lead them to a shutout.  Right?

Travis Hunter-like, playing both ways and winning the Heisman Trophy.

A lot people from ou seems pretty confident he’s going to play but maybe there just blowing smoke

I read a report from criminal media that Mateer wasn't really injured. He had surgery to give him a bionic thumb on his right hand. This was suggested by Switzer.

This has the potential to be the most hilarious moment in sports history. OU rushes their QB back from surgery on his throwing hand in a desperate attempt to beat Texas only for him to further injure his hand and miss the rest of the season. OU goes from top 5 to not even bowl eligible.
