drag worm Posted October 19 Posted October 19 (edited) Arch is either not good or the most woefully underprepared third year quarterback I’ve ever seen. Caldwell has this team 6-1 and that’s a two TD win tonight. No doubt in my mind. This is the most undisciplined offense I’ve ever seen especially at OL. Your D has an epic goal line stand and you start with a hold and get minus two yards total in OT? As I predicted coming out of the Spring, PK has this team Championship level ready while Sark’s side of the ball is a flaming pile of crap. Remember 6-3 at halftime of the SECCG? Sark’s side of the ball has actually gotten worse. Edited October 19 by drag worm 11 1 1 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted October 19 Author Moderators Posted October 19 Worst offense output in yards of any Sark team at Texas. 179 yards and 8 first downs Previous worst was 199 yards against TCU in Austin in 2022. 12 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted October 19 Author Moderators Posted October 19 Keep in mind … rushing yards given up by Kentucky in SEC play 220 at home vs Ole Miss 178 at South Carolina 180 at Georgia All those teams had over 40 rushing attempts 5 1 5 Quote
drag worm Posted October 19 Posted October 19 There’s also not a skill player within a million miles of Bijan, Rojo, Brooks or Whittington on this offense. What is Sark trying to build? What is his actual plan on offense? He always says what we don’t major in. What does he want to major in? I have zero clue. Someone please ask him that question. 4 1 Quote
TTown Posted October 19 Posted October 19 If his last name wasn't Manning everyone would be ready to try another QB asap. Don't want to pile on but just maybe he isn't the long term answer. At least worth discussing rationally. Tough as nails, great kid, good legs. But man misses so many easy throws still. And yes I know the OL sucks. So maybe unfair how to judge him now. I don't know but oh well a win is a win. 9 1 Quote

Starts at the top, and trickles down IMO 23 1 Quote

Texas fan in Georgia Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I’m still waiting on a reason why Caldwell isn’t starting over arch. I mean come on. To hell with his ceiling. He’s been in the system 3 years and we are in week 7. Sark. Milwee. Flood. They all need to be answering some tough questions 4 1 Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted October 19 Author Moderators Posted October 19 Kentucky yards given up defensively this season … they are bad on D Toledo - 329 Ole Miss - 455 Eastern Michigan - 461 South Carolina - 341 Georgia - 425 Tonight: Texas - 179 (OT) 7 1 6 Quote
Danimal Posted October 19 Posted October 19 We gave the ball to Wisner 12 times. Why? Someone needs to ask Sark that question. Wisner is the only consistent part of the offense, and Sark didnt make him a priority in the game. 10 Quote

Caldwell literally came off the bench cold and hit a 20 yard strike that actually put Texas in position to tie the game vs Florida. He was brought in for a reason and it wasn’t just for insurance purposes. It’s time to cash in on that policy 4 Quote

His offense is ancient like Jimbo's. None of our freshmen skill players ever do anything unless we have no other players on the roster. He makes it impossible to execute at a high level. The best play call was the pass to Moore in the flat, but then Moore ran out of bounds. The biggest question I have is your QB is struggling the entire 2H and you never give him a simple read and look to a skill player on the move to give him confidence. Sarkisian wants to play in a phone book with 12 personnel when the OL is trash and the TEs can't consisently execute the blocking schemes. 5 Quote

Wisner was clearly on a pitch count tonight, because Sarkisian thought the offense took multiple steps forward in the 2nd half of the OU game. Manning and the OL reverted back to the Florida game. 1 1 Quote
HDub1995 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Don’t have the answers. But know our coach is getting paid $10M+ per year and this product is completely unacceptable. 18 Quote

Joe Zura Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Sark is awful at play calling and it has gotten worse over his time here. But all Texas media lest sunshine pump this team this year. GTFO of here with that crap he needs to get a OC and Flood needs to go. Sorry not sorry ban if you want don’t care this is pathetic 3 Quote
pinkman_90 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 One of the worst things to happen to the Texas offense was finding success in 12 personnel vs ou. It doesn’t matter we’ve had no success with it the other 6 games, that one game will convince Sark he’s a genius and execution is the only reason it’s not working Quote

Sanka Decaf Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Arch hits a few of the open passes he whiffed on and it may have looked better. When we get this version of Arch I don’t know why defenses would send less than 10 guys every play. Nothing to keep them honest. 3 Quote
