Florida seems like a train wreck right now and probably didn’t want to leave ND and try and rebuild a program in the toughest conference in the country. Why would he consider Texas and not Florida? If we spiral and Sark gets fired it’ll be a dumpster fire 🔥 here worse than Florida IMO.

Florida actually offered him the job? I was under the impression that's Kiffin's if they can get the $$ right.

I think Freeman may be top 3 already. I don’t see him leaving for Florida. That job on surface is top 3 but don’t think so it’s that now.

Freeman was the first call. Didn’t take long for him to turn them down.  Didn’t say what they offered him though.

I also wonder if this is something where he has to deny it publicly, but privately he is waiting for them to up their price.  Wouldn't be the first time someone said no and then took the job

Notre Dame has been huge in CFB since CFB has been CFB. Florida has been a thing in CFB since 1991. It's not even a lateral move- it's a demotion.

I think Ohio state is his Alma Mater an I believe he would why would he leave for  Texas if he turned down Florida an Penn State jobs, I think he only leaves Notre Dame for Ohio State.

I'm different on the Florida job. It's a GREAT job. Tougher conference and path, but a guy like Freeman would absolutely crush recruiting in Florida and in the SEC region (including Texas).

Possibly, but he sure likes to recruit in Texas. 

So much is timing. He has a young QB in CJ Carr he believes he can win an NC with, and not sure I disagree. 

And his wife's family still resides in Ohio, I believe.

He’s getting paid plenty and I bet he has Zero interest in playing in a competitive conference like the SEC. Notre Dame is a shoe for the playoffs almost every year as long as they win 1 or 2 games a year against a real opponent. Look at this year. The rest of their schedule is a joke.

Ohio State yes, Texas probably not. Is there a connection to Texas I'm not aware of or you think it's a big enough job that he would consider it? 

Plus considering you always said you hire the opposite of what you had, so next up for Texas HC would be a "defensive" guy.

Or Freeman gets hired to be HC, Sark gets demoted to OC so he can put full focus into his passion, and Kyle Flood and AJ Milwee remain on staff as Co-OCs haha
