Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 3 hours ago Moderators Posted 3 hours ago Man, thoughts and best wishes for anyone around Treasure Beach and pretty much the entire island. Coming in at absolute worst angle for the island May actually be getting stronger on approach too Likely 899-900mb and at least 175mph -2.67c no eyewall replacement cycle either to weaken it worst case scenario unfolding 3 4 Quote

Connor Vaughn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You guys might know me as campmabry weatherman on the coffee/football chat. Monitoring this storm has been my sole purpose in life for my unit over the last week. The current models we have aren’t strong enough to truly measure how fast these sustained winds will be over 184mph. Same goes for pressure. This is truly a worst case scenario situation. 5 1 1 1 Quote
Sarah O Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Devastating. I saw the hurricane hunters had to turn around early yesterday bc the turbulence was so bad. Prayers to everyone in its path 🙏 1 Quote

Thank you for adding to this thread Yeah, I don’t think there is anyway to truly report how strong this one is 1 Quote

Slower moving than Harvey and hitting the same mountainous terrain as Helene/North Carolina. It’s just impossible to put into words how catastrophic of a situation this is Quote

Texas fan in Georgia Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It’s been a relatively quiet season this year for the southeast region . If this thing would’ve hit in the states it would’ve leveled whatever cities in its path Quote
