Realist Horn Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If we are running this like a NFL team, why would we continue to pay players high money for lackluster play? We have free agency where we can replace those guys. Will or has Texas lowered a players NIL after year 1, because it needs to happen. I’m an adjunct settlement judge in the Northern District of Oklahoma and will offer my services in these negotiations. 1 Quote
Stevekap Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago How do we allocate the NIL funds for the optimal roster. Are we paying more to bench players than starters this yr. If you play well u get more pay should also be pay cuts for not playing well Quote
drag worm Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You have one year left with Arch. Go all in. Rethink the freshman five star WRs we have on campus. Lower their NIL if they’re not proving to be elite. Go all in on the Cam Coleman sweepstakes. Rebuild the entire interior OL from LG to C to RG with experienced SEC quality starters. Rebuild the RB room. Keep Simon, bring in Cooper and get at least one starter SEC quality RB with experience who can be a difference maker in game one against Ohio State in Austin. If we go into that game with Wisner or a freshman starting at RB I’m going to pull my hair out. Georgia did this exact thing with Etienne last year and won the SEC with him. Defense has holes as well but we gotta start with fixing the offense because not being able to even score 20 points in games is entirely too much pressure to put on our D regardless of who we have on that side of the ball. Agree with the offense, but you saw what teams did to the CB opposite Manny. Think what’s going to happen when Manny declares for the draft. Quote

SchoolColors Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If we don’t completely revamp our WR room we are failing. Cam Coleman should be number 1 priority. Wingo isn’t a good receiver. 1 Quote

John F. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago With revenue sharing I would imagine renegotiating/lowering NIL would basically just be pushing the player in the portal. Maybe ok in some cases but could really blow up depth if overly aggressive Quote

Brho Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wingo needs to take a paycut or needs to move on. His inconsistency is a killer. Quote

Oh for sure, the level of IQ those 2 guys brought on the field was immense. Also both had a physical edge that is missing this year. Wish we got to see last years defense play in a national championship, almost feels like lightning in a bottle. Quote
