Triplettjoseph Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Maybe an unpopular opinion, but even if we somehow make it in, this team isn’t a true national contender and we should be honest with ourselves about that. If we end up as the first or second team out, we at least carry some momentum into the offseason, and the staff gets valuable time to evaluate needed changes. That extra time could help us set up for success going into 2026 and beyond especially when it comes to coaching and roster adjustments. Sark already has a lot on his plate, so missing out this year might actually be a blessing in disguise. 2 3 2 Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted November 29, 2025 Moderators Posted November 29, 2025 You’ll take making the NCAA Tournament and a first-round exit over winning the NIT every day of the week and twice on Sunday. So, yes, you’d rather be the first team eliminated from the CFP than the Citrus Bowl champions. 12 Quote
pinkman_90 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 No great teams this year. If they make it in just have to avoid Uga and Kirby and they’d have a shot. Quote

Jordan91 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 You can still focus on roster and coaching adjustments while still being in the playoff. It’s called multitasking. Quote

AusMOJO Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 We needed teams to lose today, that didn't. OU and Vandy won. Utah and BYU won, so did Tech. Miami won, too. Our slim chances are practically 0 right now. Quote
PrisonMike Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 IMO we’re one of the top 5 best teams in the nation right now. Yes, we want to make the playoffs. Quote
Hornfans Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Guys we should skip the Ohio state game next year, mostly to avoid injuries and not give any of our plays away Quote

The seniors deserve it. Quote
