I think that some humans really want to fret about stuff that they cannot control.  

If the coaches are good (and I believe Sark is) at what they do, they will find players to fill the holes.  Last year was an anomaly and will not happen again; The University of Texas at Austin is not a leper colony, and CDC knows what he's doing.
