  1. this guy has a very quick first step...somewhat reminicient of Byron Murphy...but this guy is very thick in spite of not being fat...
  2. Let's never make it obvious that we're running up the middle. Spread it out and make the defense guess what we're going to do.
  3. For me I rate Will Griffin #1 and if he's really coming here in March, then you have to believe Sark is offering. Truth is that the QB position for 2026 is really stacked and the "losers" in these recruitments are going to get quite the consolation prize.
  4. I definitely think he should keep playing football because it helps his overall athleticism. As Arnold Palmer said, learn to hit it far, then learn how to play golf. Young Surratt certainly hits it long already. He's got a good swing already as well. Or as another great player said...Johnny Miller..."any 'ol swing will do and then learn to chip and putt." The football workouts will certainly help as long as he's doing calisthenics and martial arts as his base workouts. Lifting weights IMO should be to SUPPLEMENT your workouts...weights should not be the ENTIRE workout. Good luck to the young man.
  5. 6'10"...sounds more like a dominant center in basketball...and at 14 he's still growing...that's somewhat scary...lol
  6. Looking forward to Gerry's eval. But if I was ranking, then 1) unseen video of Will Griffen...big, fast, can throw from the pocket AND on the run...wow he good 1.1) Rees Wise...his video, like W Griffen, doesn't even look like soph film...barring injury this guy and Griffen are going to be some wild recruitments 3) Franz Steyn...another really good prospect No offense to the others, but that's the way I personally see the top 3. I'll be interested in Gerry's take.
  7. damn...who's bigger, Langi or #77? 🤐
  8. You gotta really like this Wise kid. Big, with somewhat of an Ehlinger type attitude. Throws a bullet when needed. Throws on time. Can throw on the run. Can run when needed. Already had good mechanics and I'm sure he'll get better. Another guy I'm sure Sark is monitoring closely.
  9. Honesty...and all those QBs are certainly worth monitoring...but I would be surprised if Sark didn't offer Will Griffin out of CA...IMO he's better than anyone in the 2025 class...but that's just me...a long ways to go before we get to 2026...but Griffin can do it all and do it all really well
  10. so...that list is interesting...Ethan Burke is considered a possibility to leave early? wow
  11. Well well well...his name has been noticeably absent from your conversations and now we hear Sark is on him. No surprise here. Terry is a BAMF. He'll be a star the first minute he steps on campus...if we get him. I'm sure Sark will throw everything he has at him.
  12. sorry...this board is so new I wasn't sure where to post it...but if it turns out to be true it would be pretty big news for February...let me know where a question like this SHOULD be posted!
  13. Ketch claiming Brandon Brown "nearly" flipped to USC...anything to this as it is near opposite of what we hear a few days ago?
  14. 10.45 100 meter speed means he's accelerating after he hits the 40 yard mark...he fast
  15. Link not working...at least for me
  16. excuses for what? being one of the winningest programs in recent history? lol
  17. He'll get more offers than that in golf!
  18. A lot of athletic abilities. And it seems that QBs many times can translate to golf. I remember watching Elway. He could slam it. And John Brodie actually won at least on Senior Tour event that I remember. In the case of Surratt, though, 127mph clubhead speed is downright crazy. I was a long hitter, played for TEXAS ...when woods were actually made of wood...and my clubhead speed was usually in the 108-112 range. I think this guy will play golf for TEXAS. JMO
  19. OK so let's get this straight: He's big, fast, powerful. and: 1) can play TE at a high level 2) can play DE at a high level 3) throws a 95 mph fastball ...but outside of that he has no athletic skills to speak of...lol So, where would I like to see him? TE, but we seem to have a lot of TE prospects If he can actually get to a 97 mph fastball like he wants to, though, then he might be too good in baseball to turn down what will be offered to him. It'll come down to what HE wants most.
  20. Let's face it: the slightest Quinn stumble and Arch is our QB. Quinn has missed more time than Ehlinger who fans worried about because he was so physical. Football is a violent game. I think we'll see a lot of Arch one way or another. Whether its because of injury, or because of blowouts. Of course, we want to keep Arch healthy, too. And how do we know Arch isn't ALREADY better than Quinn? Maybe someone witnessing practice could tell us. Anyways it's the off season and we have 6 months to speculate! lol
  21. Golf is the only true sport...
  22. The draft itself never goes the route of these mock drafts, so this is really all just for fun. Whoever gets Sweat is getting a steal if he's really going in the second round.
