  1. I had forgotten all about Morris. Had to look up his bio. You weren’t kidding about his descent. Coaching career (HC unless noted) 1994–1997Eustace HS (TX) 1998–1999Elysian Fields HS (TX) 2000–2002Bay City HS (TX) 2003–2007Stephenville HS (TX) 2008–2009Lake Travis HS (TX) 2010Tulsa (AHC/OC/QB) 2011–2014Clemson (OC/QB) 2015–2017SMU 2018–2019Arkansas 2020Auburn (OC/QB) 2021Allen HS (TX) 2022South Florida (off. analyst) 2023Clemson (off. analyst) 2024Texas State(WR/PGC)
  2. Agree. The goal is to make the playoffs, not to have the toughest regular season schedule.
  3. It would be a smart and a strong message to the selection committee and TV execs. Rewarding teams for playing weak non conference schedules is not smart. We either do the same or be considered idiots.
  4. Not sure why the video stopped working. See if the link below will take you to it. https://x.com/nocontextcfb/status/1985013919396897123?s=61&t=70PAeQwo4BoyGsvilM7UUw
  5. Special teams and defense won this game. 3 FG by Shipley including one from 53 yards and the game winner in overtime from 45 yards. Our only TD was set up by a Bouwmeester punt that pinned Kentucky inside their 10. The defense stopped them, forced a punt and Niblett returned it to the 5 or 6 yard line and we were able to score a TD.
  6. Great throw with a defender in his face.
  7. Under. If you throw out the SJSU and SHSU games Arch is averaging 169 yards per game passing.
  8. Endries and Townsend could make a good duo if Townsend can pick up the play book quick enough.
  9. Agree, we have no one that can what Blue did on this run.
  10. Acho shows and diagrams 3 plays here. Constructive thoughts. The first and third clips Sark schemed them open. The other clip on the INT Acho explains the options.
  11. This was one of the best passes by Arch:
  12. Not sure who all was a culture fit but one player in the portal that would make defenses pay attention every play was Zachariah Branch. It would have been fun to watch Branch and Wingo play together. My main concern for this season was the lack of explosive playmakers on offense. I think Jack Endries will be good at TE… and maybe Livingstone will get more comfortable after the nice TD catch yesterday.
  13. Wingo is our only player that would scare a DC. Double him and who else do we have that is explosive? Last year we had Golden, Wingo, Bond (until his injury) and Blue. We had Worthy and Bijan year one. Worthy, Bijan and Blue year two. Worthy, Mitchell and Blue year 3.
  14. Gerry’s video https://youtu.be/wp-gOaV4tOA?si=tOyr29oqXLgMjAxu
  15. Exactly. Last year we lost 2 RB’s in the first couple of days of fall practice and we were extremely thin at RB the entire season. This year Goosby has an injury of some sort and our swing tackle is lost for the season so we are down to our 4th and 5th options at OT until Goosby is healthy. And our starting RT saw limited action last season as a true freshman. Like CJ said we are manufacturing depth with our top OL. In case of emergency, BREAK GLASS.
  16. If Goosby can’t go or is injured again vs OSU, I think you are correct that they may want/need some experience at LT against OSU…..so hopefully we can avoid having our QB lit up in game one. After OSU we have 3 non conference games then a bye week before we play Florida.
  17. It’s more difficult to find good rankings for HS baseball. The MLB pre draft rankings might be good but you have both college and HS players ranked that you have to sort thru. And it’s hard to know how much they take sign-ability into account when ranking HS players. Perfect Game is the easiest for me. Even the football rankings vary by service and there are much more resources available.
  18. Here are the national rankings for those that were drafted and signed MLB contracts. Perfect Game rankings: 6 - Kayson Cunningham (SS) (1st rd pick) 10 - Gavin Fien (3B) (1st rd pick) 57 - Mitchell (P) (13th rd) 145 - Grayson Boles (RHP) (18th round)
  19. Here are the Perfect Game national rankings for the signees. Anthony Pack was the highest ranked at 32. 32 - Anthony Pack (OF) 47 - Sam Cozart (RHP) 62 - Brett Crossland (RHP) 81 - Cooper Rummel (RHP) 135 - Jack McKernan (LHP) 162 - Brody Walls (RHP) 169 - Kaleb Rogers (RHP) 194 - Grady Westphal (RHP) 228 - Maddox Monsour (OF) 241 - William Hill (OF) 274 - Michael Winter (RHP) 277 - Presley Courville (C) 358 - Jadyn Furgason (RHP) 500 - Jack Paris (RHP)
