  1. Not sure how Sark calls a play any easier for a QB than this. I posted this play before. Golden starts on the right side & was wide open underneath for a first down on the left side of the field but Ewers threw into double coverage and the DB dropped an easy INT. Looks like Sark is frustrated by Ewers decision. Sark can’t make Ewers throw to the wide open receiver instead of double coverage.
  2. 5 of the playoff QBs are ranked in the top 10 nationally. Their national ranking is in parentheses. I am surprised the Will Howard rating is that high. Kurtis Rourke, IND (nat rank 1) 181.38 Will Howard, OSU (3). 172.08 Dillon Gabriel, OR (7). 166.57 Drew Allar, PSU (9) 161.23 Sam Leavitt, ASU (10). 159.50 Kevin Jennings, SMU (13). 156.92 N Iamaleava, TENN (20). 152.71 Cade Klubnik, CLEM (26). 148.61 Quinn Ewers, UT (28). 148.11 Carson Beck, GA (32). 145.34 Maddux Madsen, BYU (37) 143.65 Riley Leonard, ND (47). 140.79 Other highly rated QBs for comparison, that missed playoffs: Jaxson Dart, MISS (2). 177.69 Cam Ward, (MIA) (4). 171.06 S Sanders, COL (5). 168.79 D Mensah, TUL (6) 166.57 Jalen Milroe, AL (17) 153.75 L Sellers, So Car (18). 152.87 Mac Jones had a 203 rating in 2020 for Sark at Alabama with 41 TD passes and 4 INT.
  3. @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel I didn’t realize how wide open Wingo was at the end of regulation. There are 3 different angles in the video below. He never saw him the way the play developed.
  4. The pass to Moore was a bad decision and should have been an INT. Golden wide open underneath for a first down on the same side of the field.
  5. Can he? My confidence is not high that he will. He had red zone issues for most of the 2023 season IIRC. Against Kentucky & A&M our defense gave up a total of 7 points and Ewers gave up 14 points on the fumble/int return against KU and the pick 6 against A&M. Then he threw 2 INT yesterday, plus took a sack which forced a 51 yard FG attempt. We weren’t in the red zone but got no points after the 26 yd punt return gave us the ball at the Georgia 39. In our last 4 games we have scored 20, 31, 17 and 19 points. That is not championship offense.
  6. Delete post, ban user. You are entitled to your opinion but you don’t speak for everyone. The guy is damn knowledgeable and he has good things to say about Sark and his offensive schemes. His Texas/Michigan film room was outstanding.
  7. Ewers thru for 177 yds in the 1st half. After the injury he threw for FOURTEEN yards in the 2nd half. We attempted only 5 passes. And Ewers gave Kentucky 7 points on the pick 6/fumble (or whatever that was). On the 1st play of the 4th qtr we had the ball at the KU 18 yard line. Ewers drops the snap somehow picks it up and then inexplicably throws the ball out of bounds behind him for an 11 yard loss. The next play he badly missed the RB on a tunnel screen. That’s why we had to run 15 times in a row on our final TD drive. Go to the 44:44 mark on the game video below to watch for the play to start the 4th qtr. injured or not one the ugliest plays/decsion a QB can make.
  8. You were very close.

  10. Multi year binding NIL contracts and transfer limitations would help a lot. The free market would most likely adapt if there were more certainty. Players would get paid but if you miss on your evaluations you are going to pay a price. Just like the NFL drafting the wrong player too high.
  11. Not the best angle but found this. It’s annoying when announcers get sidetracked. Especially when they miss plays and don’t show a replay.
  12. He had such a future in construction though.
  13. I think you are the only person in this thread to have Texas winning by 3. The score prediction was also close. While you are on a roll, do you have any stock picks you can share…lol
  14. Maybe they can tell us when they are going to blitz also.
  15. CJ, do you know the reasoning why Gibson didn’t play against Georgia? Was he bothered by an injury or were there other reasons?
  16. Silas Bolden with one snap is sorta puzzling. He seems to be the type of player that Sark would like to get into space….especially with Bond playing hurt. They don’t have another player at WR like Bolden. Get him the ball in space a couple of times and let’s see what he can do. He should have been rewarded by saving the TD that was fumbled into the end zone against OU.
  17. While true that Sark doesn’t want his QB’s to turn a bad play into a worse play (ie as Sark would say….trying to make chicken salad out of chick s**t) that doesn’t mean Sark is risk averse. He’s actually very aggressive. Remember all the deep throws that would have been TDs if Ewers had made good throws or the WR would have caught the ball. Sark doesn’t mind going for the jugular with one play drives for a long TD. It is possible that Ewers looks for the check down if the play isn’t wide open. If so that is on Ewers.
  18. Thanks CJ. That is the play I was asking about. It was the first play after the Mukuba INT. Instead of a TD (or long gain) we ran 3 plays and punted. Missed opportunity.
  19. @CJ Vogel Do you have the clip of the first play after the interception by Mukuba? We had the ball around the Georgia 40 and Sark called the flea flicker type play. The WR was covered deep but Wisner slipped behind the Georgia LBs. Wisner might have scored (or least a long gain) if he held onto the ball. i think the pass was on target but could be wrong. That one missed play “might” have changed the game. Instead we were forced to punt after our defense gave us good field position.
  20. Do you think Georgia cares if they beat us and our entire starting lineup was out? Nope, they just want to win. We are missing Baxter, Derek Williams and probably our best WR (Bonds) but you want Georgia to be at full strength. Makes total sense if you are a Georgia fan.
  21. In 1970, one year after the game of the century, Royal and the Horns beat the hell out of Arkansas 42-7.
