  1. Walker strikes 0u batter out for the 1st out.
  2. Galvan grounds out to end the inning. Midway through the 6th, Texas 6, 0u 5.
  3. Just read Jeff's original post. I'll offer a bit of commentary, unless anyone has any major objections (and probably even if they do). Belyeu strikes out with Borba on first for the second out.
  4. Mendoza swung so hard the 0u pitcher's skirt blew up. Strike out.
  5. Borba with effectively a swinging bunt outruns the throw. Good hustle there!
  6. Walker brought his A-Game tonight. Looking very sharp.
  7. Jeff's back and on it. This concludes my play by play 😁. Hook Em!
  8. Change of pitcher for 0U, Rodriguez knocks a base hit into center field scoring Flores, Texas now up 6-5. Great inning for the offense!
  9. WHOA!! Flores with a triple off the center-right field wall. Galvan scores and we are tied at 5-5! Texas still at bat with 2 outs in the top of the 5th. New ball game, folks!
  10. Schuss strikes out looking. This pitcher has had good stuff all night.
  11. Tieing run on 2nd, one out. Galvan knocked in 2, score now 5-4
  12. This is my setup here in Brisbane, Australia. I used to compete around the country (Team name, Horns Up BBQ), but since COVID, have done more for personal events and a few pubs near my home. Always happy to share recipes. If I were starting all over again, I'd highly recommend going with pulled pork for a very forgiving cut and if you fear ruining a brisket, start with beef ribs, as they are much more uniform in thickness and will get a consistent result with great flavour. For beef, keep it simple. Salt, pepper and a bit of paprika will give you great bark. Spritz with half/half ratio of apple juice and apple cider vinegar about every hour. For pork, go crazy with flavours, but I generally stay around a nice vinegar bbq sauce with a bit of honey and a cherry rub off the shelf. I like the Elk Creek stuff. Lastly, I finally gave in and got a Traeger. It's a great piece of kit. I name my pits. The trailer smoker is Stevie Ray Gnawin' and the Traeger (not pictured) is Grillie Nelson.
  13. It seems like Galvan has been coming back into form since Lamar. Be good to see him keep it rolling. Schuss seems to have gone a bit cold. All of this said, it's only been a week since we got swept and it isn't like we can't bust out of short-lived slump after the rain break. Let's see what Farmer can get going!
  14. I always wonder why we sling around speculation on a kid's work ethic. To what benefit? If TO is taking plays off or not doing the work, the coaches will know and he will be gone. The more likely case is he's been recruited over in a room full of excellent QBs and will get a gig at a Big12 or ACC school who needs his skills. He's got a live arm and from all reports a good head for the game. He's on my team, so while he's here, unless heard from a coach directly, I'll assume he's doing the work demanded, if not more.
  15. Sad to see. Cam's a good guy and found his sports home in Utah. Very solid QB when healthy. Wish him all the best. I remember when he transferred out wishing it had been Casey instead of Cam, but everything happens for a reason I suppose.
  16. Almost glad we got this out of the way. Would love to see them bounce back and take the series, but they were due for a bad game. As Jeff said, flush it and move on.
  17. Hearing Belyeu may try to make it back for the SEC tourney, if not sooner. Would be a huge boost to get him back before the CWS and give him a few games to get back into form.
  18. Just spoke to my Saints fan buddy in Houma LA. He's happy they didn't take Sanders and was actually hoping they'd wait on QB and take Ewers a bit later to keep him and Banks together. He likes Shough ok, but thinks they could have played it smarter.
  19. Who's the biggest douche-canoe covering the draft and why is it Mel Kyper?
  20. Helm is going to be an absolute steal for some team.
  21. Agree. Go watch Quinn on Gruden's QB Class and tell me who you would rather take in this draft.
  22. I wish Sanders no ill will, but that was some funny shizz. It was hilarious watching the ESPN announcers look like morons.
