    Like many others here, it was Metcalf for me. Grew up watching the Horns with my dad, but the first player I remember really standing out to me was Eric. Every time he touched the ball he was a threat to score. He was a hell of a long-jumper as well.

    Welcome to OTF, Jeff!!! The biggest development this offseason to date is your joining the team and community here. I was bummed to hear you were leaving 247, but my second thought was, jeesh, if Jeff comes to OTF this site will be unstoppable. Looking forward to baseball threads and, of course, your excellent takes on Texas football. Your passion for the Horns is infectious and I can't wait to see how this team progresses into the '25/'26 season! As soon as you have a handle on it, can you let us know if we can expect some form of the Blitz to pick back up? Also, if you have any insight you can share on Matt Butler it would be appreciated as well. Hook'Em!!!

    So you take the blue blood coaches out because no one has ever said yes before?! We've never been on a coach hunt as members of the SEC. CDC got us Beard who was the best coach in the country at the time and then gave RT the opportunity which he has fallen short on. Nah, shoot for the damn stars and make them say no.

    I think OSU wins, as they're a pretty good match up for ND. I'll cheer for them simply so we can say the team we lost to won it all.

    I would love this development! He's the only reason I've held onto my 247 sub (and a few of the long-term members there). Jeff and Rod B are great together on The Blitz.

    Nice! Shaw was a 5* coming out of high school. Huge potential here and a good hole filler if nothing else. Also played basketball. Good athlete.

    I don't think there's any way to say a 13-win season isn't a success. It's been a great year so far, BUT, I'd bet if you ask anyone on the team if they're happy with where they sit they wouldn't be. The biggest goal is still there for us. 2 more wins, baby!

    Losing Taaffe and Makuba is a big hit, but we have some nice guys waiting in the wings. Interior D-Line is my biggest concern. I'm also not convinced TE is going to be fine without someone stepping up that I'm not seeing just yet. As much as I believe Arch will be amazing, until we see it on the field against major competition there's a small question in the back of my mind.

    Yep, he's never valued defense. He's been average at best at USC and I can't see him staying there much longer.

    Texas 8&4 vs USC is the type of game I love. Whoever loses will bring me joy. Not gonna lie, I hope the sheep-humpers lose to BurntBrisket, but either way I'll have a laugh at the loser. Imagine being an aggie staying up until 2am to watch your team lose in the Roofing Supply Distro Bowl! Just pure gold.
