  1. Sorry to hear that for Spencer. He was having a good year and really helped Texas get where it is this year. Hopefully someone will step up- next man up. Too late to edit my earlier comment above but I typed Iven Mendoza instead of Melendez. He is back in action with the Sod Poodles.
  2. I hope the best for Spencer. Regarding 2nd base, Duplantier is batting .048 in conference and .129 for the season. HIs career average is only .193. We need bats in the lineup and I think having Winfield in left and Adrian at 2nd would be better. As poorly as Winfield has hit, his conference and season averages are much higher than Duplantier's. On another note, Ivan Mendoza finally made it back from injured reserve and hit a homerun is his first game back for the Sod Poodles.
  3. Cowboys and Oilers- oops. Oilers are gone.
  4. "Aaron & Sonya Richards-Ross"- I have never heard of them.
  5. I checked again this morning and several sits now show that Ivan was placed on the 7 day injured reserved list in early April and he is even listed on the Sod Poodles roster now. As of a few days ago he was not listed on the roster, nor was he showed up on any IL lists, except the one from the end of last season. Let's hope it is not a recurring injury.
  6. I saw it posted elsewhere that Jared Spencer's injury may be more than soreness and that Schloss now ways he probably won't pitch next week and that they will get more opinions. Anybody else heard more about this?
  7. Great news for Ace and the team if he can come back, throw strikes, and help. He's is a good kid and I would like to see him go out with a bang because this will probably be his last hurrah for baseball.
  8. Man, the plays at first and home were both very close.
  9. He isn't even playing or listed on a roster right now. I assume he is on some kind of DL because I can't find that he was cut/released. That being said, it has been a few days since I checked.
  10. Schuessler is on fire. All of these homeruns and multi-hit games recently. Jonah Williams already has more hits than Jayden Duplantier does for the season.
  11. Great series win. Back half of the lineup came through. Duplantier with his 1st SEC hit and Williams with his 1st, along with another, and 3 RBIs.
  12. That was another big win. Hope Jared is not really hurt. Max stepped up for him and then Volantis was money as usual. What a stud. We had just enough hitting to win. As much as I like Duplantier and his enthusiasm he can't hit. He is still batting .000 in SEC play and only .107 for the season. Winfield is hitting about twice that. As a freshman Duplantier had 43 at bats and hit .256. Not many at bats last year and he batted .111. So, he is about a .190 career hitter.
  13. Heard that is softball's first ever walk off grand slam.
  14. Grand Salami by Atwood in the Bottom of the 7th. Final Score- 7 to 3.
  15. Glad to see him go out like that. Good that ESPN is doing that. Personally, I never cared much for him.
  16. Jared Spencer can match it.
  17. Their schedule on the website indicates all three games are on SEC Network +. (SECN+)
  18. Jason finishes shuts them down in the 9th. Win. 11 to 4. Ethan Walker made his first appearance of the year. He looked okay.
  19. Jason Flores puts them down 1, 2, 3, in the eighth.
  20. 3 down, going to top of 8th, up 11 to 4.
  21. No mercy yet. it is now 11 to 4. Winfield somehow missed the 3rd out fly ball and 2 runs wound up scoring. Bottom of 7, Schuessler leads off with a double.
  22. Pitcher’s best friend to get out of the inning.
  23. That bird looks twice her size. By the way, we know you were proud. How was she?
  24. This game is going much better than last year’s so far. Not there this year but wish I was. Regarding the SEC Network person working the scores and counts on the tv screen, they have been bad all season. They are wrong a lot and quite often very slow to update balls and strikes and outs.
  25. The Pro Bowl appearances have to be jaded somehow since his best passing year he had only 12 TDs with about a 51% completion percentage. His highest yardage year was 2,546. Three out of his 6 years he threw more interceptions than TDs and had more career interceptions than TDs. Of course, he was a pretty good runner but that was about it. I had hoped he would have a good pro career, but it really was not. However, that does not take away from his being one of the greatest Longhorns of all time.
