  1. I must have posted the same time you did, but I used the Princeton version. I was at a conference years ago and a friend of mine, a Princeton grad, told that joke as an introduction to his presentation.
  2. A Texan started college at Princeton and was wandering the campus looking for the library. He bumped into what appeared to be an upper classman and asked “do you know where the library’s at?” The upper classman said “at Princeton we do not end our sentences with prepositions”. The Texan responded “okay, do you know where the library is at “a..shole”. 😀
  3. The amount of money these schools spend on tutors is astronomical. If he needs it and they can't help him then it could be a tough semester. Hopefully they enroll him with a minimum load and ease him in- even if he is a good student. I was on the faculty at Tulane Medical School years ago and attended some of the university wide faculty senate meetings and got to see some of the inner workings of the athletics department budget, as well as the ongoing monitoring of the GPAs of each sport. I was surprised at the tutoring budget, but not surprised at the grades of some of the the various athletic teams. When I was a senior in college I was the teaching assistant for an anatomy and physiology class for P.E. majors (a lot of athletes), pre-nursing, etc. I ran the lab portion and administered and graded the tests. I had a number of football players in that lab, including the quarterback, and he was the only one of them that passed the lab. His final lab grade was just a little over 70. I guess that is why he was the quarterback.🤣 He did go on to play in the NFL for a few years and hung around because he was a pretty good overall athlete.
  4. He is relentless. I lived in Pennsylvania for a few years and Penn State rules there. Most people bleed blue and white. Their PA competition is Pitt, Penn, Temple, etc. Eastern PA is primarily Penn State country for fans and Coatesville is a suburb of Philly.
  5. I was close. We are just about up to date with this season. It is a really good show. We have also been watching Person of Interested. We missed most of it when it was on originally. We enjoy that too and it was from network tv, meaning there are more than 10 episodes per season.
  6. Thanks. Yeah I knew that happened to guys that get cut at the end of the semester and it is still tough, particularly since semester start and stop dates aren't the same at all schools and making arrangements are hard. Getting cut in the Spring was not something I knew or had paid attention to. I would think that just about rules out any transfer to the season, whether a JUCO or otherwise.
  7. That was a good one. Several really funny parts. They saved Texas for last and it was all good until the scene with the counselor.
  8. Good speed and he seems to like to block.
  9. The Drip line didn't seem to be giving him a lot of help on many of those plays.
  10. Needs to eat more Jalapenos!
  11. Man, that will be tough getting cut after the spring semester starts. They did pare down at the end of the fall semester, but it makes it hard on those guys being cut when the next semester starts soon. Even worse is getting cut after the spring semester starts. Doesn't leave time to enroll anywhere else.
  12. What is the roster limit? They are over 40 and I seem to recall that this year the limit is 40.
  13. Some say Borba. But the Spring will tell.
  14. Thoracic outlet syndrome. It is a narrowed passage for a group of blood vessels and nerves that can be serious. It was most of the cause of J. R. Richard's, the former Astros pitcher, demise.
  15. That is a plump cow in his x posting.
  16. I hope you aren't also a Cubs fan who suffered for decades.😀
  17. That roster is over 40 and I think the limit for this year is 40. I guess there will be more cuts to come if that is the case.
  18. This was suggested above- --------------------- "When do we get lineup projection? I'll take a stab... Winfield LF mendoza 2nd belyeu RF flores ss Stewart 1st kimble/borba DH will G CF ARod 3rd galvan C" -------------------------- I think D1 baseball has Schuessler at 1st and Borba at DH. Of course, spring practice will flesh that out (hopefully). We will be in Arlington for the whole weekend series. We hope to get a good look at the new roster as well seeing some other schools in action.
  19. RIP. I knew his younger brother from baseball and football in high school and got to meet Bobby once. I was shocked to see what an offensive lineman in college looked like and he was not one of the bigger ones. His neck was twice the size of mine and his thighs made made mine look puny.
  20. That dancing reminded me of Aggie Yell Leader tryouts or something. I hope that was in jest.😄
  21. I don't know anything about the Phillies farm system but I hope it is good and that Dylan prospers in it.
  22. No thoughts. I don't like either team.
