  1. 1. Quinn plays well 2. DBs win their share of 50/50 balls 3. Front six makes Beck uncomfortable 4. Auburn finds his swing
  2. Is that a picture of your daddy when he was released from prison? I’d hate to see your momma.😂
  3. You are correct, Hudson Card was the QB that day. Nonetheless, that is exactly who Quinn looked like in the first Quarter of the OU game.
  4. Imagine Quinn playing that way against Georgia instead of a crippled OU team.
  5. You understate how bad Quinn played. We had 13 yards in the first quarter despite wide open receivers all over the field. He had a good 2nd quarter but his second half was subpar. He looked like he had regressed to 2022. Georgia will be an entirely different game than BlowU.
  6. Perhaps. If so, he better let it rip in practice this week. I would rather find out whether he can go in practice than in the first half against Georgia.
  7. Quinn looked afraid to get hit in the OU game coming off his injury. He looked more like he did in the Tech game in 2022 than the Michigan game. As the game went on, he seemed to process faster and he did run the keeper for a TD. But if he starts the Georgia game like he did the OU game, we are looking at an L. It has occurred to me that maybe Sark needs to expose Quinn to a little contact in practice this week. I assume that the defense would have sense enough not to blast Quinn and a little contact might get him back in the groove. Probably a dumb idea but I like it.
  8. The last comment wasn’t directed at you; it was intended for NFL executives. Sorry if I was unclear.
  9. Not a reason to eliminate the most iconic play in football. The pregame show is called “The Kickoff Show” for a reason; it’s not called “The IR Show”. If you can’t handle the kickoff, play Madden instead.
  10. According to Vogel, McDonald played 47 snaps against OU; JJR only played 18 snaps. It looks like the Raptor’s snaps will go to McDonald.
  11. 6 of 7 on third and short for the game. Weak sauce.
  12. Defense allowed MSU 6 of 7 on 3rd down conversions. That’s where the blame lies.
  13. PK allowed MSU to play the time of possession games, just like he did twice in losses to Washington.
  14. The run defense gave up 20 minutes time of possession in the first half and almost 20 first downs overall. D grade
  15. … who can we flip from the 2025 LSU recruiting class?
  16. Gerry, is Hicks reclassifying to the 2025 class. There has been some chatter about that.
  17. Per Gerry, Barnes and his dad did not inform the Texas staff. That makes it look like they took the Duck money and tried to sneak up there but got caught. That may not have been what happened, but that’s what it looks like.
  18. The major development, reported in an interview with Jonah by GH, is that Jonah currently plans to enroll at Texas for the Spring. That means no MLB threat until he is 21 years old as I understand it.
  19. Gerry, by the way, I just heard your assessment of Gibson on Coffee and Football and I thought that it was spot on.
  20. Sark should not make majors adjustments to his 2024 game plan. Gibson can handle a large portion of Baxter’s inside zone and short yardage carries. Sark just called Gibson a “workhorse.” Play Blue the way you intended to play Blue and get the most out of him. Don’t let Baxter’s injury beat us twice by moving Blue into a position that does not fit his skill set. No need to panic.
  21. The problem with Blue is that, if he takes most of Baxter’s inside zones carries, he will almost certainly get injured over the course of a long season. Someone like Gibson must handle most of Baxter’s inside zone carries. Let Blue and Wiesner do what they do best on 12-15 touches per game. More than that and you are looking for trouble.
  22. Don’t panic. Keep your offense mainly the same. Replace Baxter with Gibson if he can be serviceable in pass protection. There will not be much drop-off with Gibson running the inside zone. Let Blue play generally as you planned to do with Baxter; maybe let Blue run a little more outside zone. The worst thing Sark could do is try to make Blue the primary ball carrier. That would take Blue away from what he does best (playing the second back in 21 personnel, moving to the slot), make him a square peg in a round hole at primary ball carrier and likely get him hurt. Gibson (Emmitt Smith lite) can handle Baxter’s role if he can pass protect 🙏
  23. I think that Barron is the #2 corner, except against teams with WRs who have great long speed. Then we need to play Holmes or Cole across from Manny.
  24. I’d like to see Barron get a look at corner and Gilbeau at Nickel
