  1. What exactly is the point of Kyle Flood if he has no agency and apparently no ability to make decisions regarding any facet of the OL? Follow up question, why has Kyle Flood remained at Texas if his every decision is overruled by Sark? Perhaps Sark will pull a rabbit out of a hat and address LG, but, as things currently stand, they've failed to address an obvious weakness. I think fans can be forgiven for not giving them the benefit of the doubt after last year's OL and believing that one of the true sophomores is the answer there.
  2. Very convincing "money is NOT a huge factor for me" list of schools, Princwill.
  3. What is your takeaway from this? If you look at the current roster, the following high school recruits are likely to be drafted from Texas: 2023 Class Arch Manning, Jelani McDonald, Trevor Goosby 2024 Class Colin Simmons, Brandon Baker, Ryan Wingo, Zina Umeozulu (debatable), Alex January, Tyanthony Smith 2025 Class Too early to say, but Littleton, Jackson and Phillips seem like locks. The DL/OL will probably have one or two. Then you supplement with sure fire upperclassman transfers like Cam Coleman, Smothers, Pitt LB who will also be drafted. So, the end result seems like we'll have a similar number of draft picks and thus a similar level of talent. Just getting to it in a different way. In other words, under the current regime you might see Jahdae Barron and Byron Murphy types transfer in as juniors, but the result is somewhat similar.
  4. Daniel Cruz realized he can probably beat out the walk ons for some PT?
  5. Jeff, curious if you have any insight into why Goosby is likely to come back, despite being mocked in the first round? A disconnect between draft analysts and the actual feedback he’s getting from NFL teams? It’s just hard to believe he’d come back with a first round grade.
  6. Highly doubt he gets drafted, does not have elite traits or production. Also can't imagine any decent team would bring him in with the expectation of being the #1. Some of the production piece was not entirely his fault. Happy that he's leaving, as I am confident that Texas can easily replace his production at a lower price.
  7. The general update if you aggregate the different sites is that his finger got caught in a jersey and that it's a legitimate injury, but won't keep him out of Ohio State. Now feel free to share what you heard from Brady Sarkisian.
  8. We would absolutely not be sweating out a playoff spot if we were 10-2 with wins over Ohio State and Florida or Georgia. It would be a mortal lock.
  9. What is an Aaron Thomas? Sounds like a guy who will be watching from his back while Richard Wesley suplexes A&M's JAG transfer QB du jour in 2027.
  10. Is it very difficult to get tickets? Curious if anyone has gotten 3-4 regional tickets week of before.
  11. Hunter is a far superior WR prospect than Burden, IMO. Surprised you're so high on him, I'd be very surprised if he has a more productive NFL career than Golden.
  12. Are you suggesting that we should not act excited and gloat about the state of OU's program because they may possess nuclear weapons?
  13. I'm sure you're being hyperbolic but we would have won the game by double digits if Patrick Mahomes was the quarterback.
  14. I don't think Freeze is really "tying his ship" to Thorne, he's just cannon fodder. This is essentially a second rebuilding year and they didn't have the roster to justify spending big on a transfer QB. You can bet that they will next year, with some legitimately awesome young receivers as a selling point to go along with the $.
  15. Is there any chance the #1 player in the state makes it on campus?
  16. Two questions here, Gerry. 1. Do you think DJ Campbell has the potential to rise if he stays another year or is he basically who he is at this point? Given his recruiting ranking, I was expecting him to eventually perform like a high-level NFL guard, but we haven't seen that so far. 2. Do you expect Tia Savea to outperform Bill Norton this year based on the above or do you view them as similar caliber players? Thanks!
  17. By my count we would have Sydir Mitchell, Aaron Bryant, Jaray Bledsoe, Melvin Hills and Alex January returning. Perhaps I am missing someone, but, no, the cupboards aren't literally bare. Given who we expect to be contributors this year, that's about as bare as it gets. We'll probably need a bigger and more talented transfer class next year. And then again the following year. It puts you in a tough spot when you're only bringing in 1-2 high school recruits at the position yearly.
  18. What on earth is the plan at DL? This has been an utterly disastrous three cycles, completely unacceptable. Genuinely wonder who will be playing in 2025 and if we will have any depth at all.
  19. Outside of their 4 OOC games, South Carolina (H) and Auburn (A) are the only games that should be bona fide wins. 3 additional wins against Tenn (H), our game, Ole Miss (A), Mizzou (A), Bama (H) and LSU (A) will be pretty tough with a leaky OL and unproven QB.
