    On another note, dropping Ohio St. for losing the #4 team at the time and currently #1 team to #6 is pretty shitty because it's punishing them (much like Texas was punished for losing last year) for scheduling a tough non-conference matchup instead of john's junior high. It's going to further push schools not to schedule these games because it would hinder their chances at post-season goals. At worst, Ohio st. probably should have dropped to 4 since that's where Texas was.

    One thing that I think is underrated by SEC shorts is how they are consistent with who plays the character for each school. From my memory, seems it's always the same person who plays the specific school in each video.

    Right? Because the fluke interception off Cam Coleman was something they caused . . . or Ryan Wingo's dropped TD. Credit for the fumble on the 1st play, but Texas was shooting themselves in the foot a bunch of times.

    We need to get Devin Duvernay to come provide lessons in how he practically never dropped a pass thrown his way.

    That exposed a flaw in their team, they don't trust the O-line to open holes and felt that the Sayin-Smith connection was higher percentage (understandably as they are great players).

    Jordan Lee probably would have been one of the KD athletes if she had stayed, instead her dad decided to chase the bag without thinking about the big picture. If this freshman class plays to their potential, the team will do well, but I'm a bit wary about being optimistic with what's been going on with the volleyball team. We've been spoiled with elite play for a number of years.

    It’s a bunch of transfers, the D does seem weak or confused. I have faith coach will shape them up, but will probably take a year or two.

    We know the football recruits because it's reported by OTF, not by Sark or anyone at Texas directly.

    I haven't been watching, but according to the volleytalk forum, coach is sitting on the bench with a look that he doesn't even want to be there as if he's mailed it in already. The decision to not play Ella Swindle is mind boggling because when she's in the match, they do well. It's not like she wasn't a highly rated recruit. And she was the setter for a national championship. If she's regressed, that's on the coaches.

    Currently losing to SMU, It's going to be a long season, probably will barely make the tournament and bow out fairly quickly unless they drastically improve. It was a good run.

    Texas and OU are arguably the SEC’s best softball programs next year - probably the league wanting both of them to have a chance at the top 2 seeds for WCWS. It is odd to not have either rival scheduled. Did that happen to any of the other softball teams?

    Any coach worth a salt is going to attack Bonney when she’s front row. That’s pretty much an easy point for the elite hitters they have. It’s what Kentucky did when they beat Texas for the championship a few years ago, they punished setter Jhenna Gabriel because she couldn’t jump high enough to deter the shots.

    This is not completely accurate. The other players on the team were highly rated recruits and are very talented - the big difference is development and system. Sullivan apparently was the cog in the machine because they just aren’t losing close games, they are getting destroyed in sets by double digits. That’s not supposed to happen to elite teams when it’s rally scoring.

    I don’t know why coach is obsessed with trying to run a faster offense. He won national championships with a slower offense because he has players who are superior and athletic enough to make it work. The fast tempos are for inferior athletes who need the edge to beat the blocks. Basically the faster offense is like a spread offense for volleyball.

    Joey forgets the big 12 officiating sucks, and there are always call that can be made. Of course he’s probably feeling safe that he’s buddy buddy with yormark.

    They better win the big 12, but don't expect leniency from the other schools outside the big 12 if/when they get the automatic bid to the CFP and actually face a real team. But they have bigger fish to fry and will probably rest their starters instead of running up the score because they would be more concerned about the next game trying to win a championship.

    So it's a brand new season and instead of the goal being we want to win the SEC, get to the CFP, and compete for the championship, he's more worried about hating and beating Texas. Par for the brand.

    I think she's better than Fulwiley. Bank's is so smooth it reminds me of Kobe how effortless it looks.

    Coach Elliott let's his assistants primarily handle the team, especially during the match. He's more CEO ish. The current group of assistants clearly are not at the level of Sullivan (hence he got the USA coaching gig). I hate to say it because he recruits so well and has made Texas the powerhouse that it is, but it's getting close to time for him to ride into the sunset for the next great coach a la Cook at Nebraska.

    Sadly next week Nebraska will likely dog walk them if they continue playing like this.

    My analogy is coach changing the system on the players like Mack Brown did to Garret Gilbert.

    This is the equivalent of Texas football losing at halftime to UTSA.
