  1. Is it usual to not shake hands after the champ game? Saw someone tweet that Tech was sour and just started packing their bags instead of going out and congratulating Texas.
  2. I watched highlights clip today, interestingly, Mowins said Canady was listed as the starter, but then when they had Terry pitch first, that counted as a substitution, normally not an issue for them, but when they brought in the third pitcher, Canady was subbed out of the game and then couldn't come back in.
  3. She's a stud and I think left handed as well.
  4. Isn't Texas set at SS with both Rodriguez and the guy from Tech who is going to play 3rd?
  5. A few months? Wouldn't take me but maybe a day, hell maybe a few hours.
  6. It's not common because in order for a team to be able to do it, both pitchers have to play a regular position so that they don't leave the field. The way it's advantageous is that they are different pitchers, so it's intended to throw off the batters because one's a lefty and one's a righty at different heights. I think that it would disrupt any rhythm a pitcher has but what do I know, I'm sitting at home and not paid millions to do it. Also, the other logic for the strategy is that it doesn't wear their pitcher down because they aren't throwing 100 pitches and every time they switch pitchers, the pitcher gets to warm up toss which in theory would disrupt momentum.
  7. They probably have been able to get their timing on Kavan, getting Cit in to throw a different speed may help.
  8. Already a bunch of rumors about some players set to transfer as soon as season is over - starting with ou’s Pickering.
  9. If only there was something that measured if a school was an everything school and an award was given out for it.
  10. Kavan has 1 more year.
  11. Don’t forget there are some high recruits who were on the bench this year as freshman that will be sophomores ready to contribute as well.
  12. As far as pitchers, there's Wells, the transfer from OU who sat out this year Bordi, the #1 pitching recruit Doty, and assuming they don't transfer out - Salmon and Gonzales. There's the highly touted incoming freshman who is thought to be competing for middle infield.
  13. Blew his wad on softball; would be glorious for Texas to win it again.
  14. Today’s going to be tough and Texas will have to show a ton of fight to have to beat Tennessee twice. They have two elite pitchers and a third who’s pretty much as good and they are rested. And their main pitcher throws upper 70s, that’s equivalent to baseball in the 100s with the distance of the softball mound.
  15. Am in Houston, when I head to Austin, will be sure to check them out. I've been research Medaka Japanese rice fish as my first venture.
  16. That would be fantastic, I’m looking at a 20 gallon with just one type of fish as well.
  17. Any fish/aquarium hobbyists here? I’m thinking about starting an aquarium but am a total newbie. Currently just doing research. Heard it can be a major time/money sink.
  18. Just got out of a string of meetings, looks like the Horns are starting slow again. Need the offense to pick up.
  19. Much like Logan Eggleston was one of Coach Elliott's favorite recruits, I believe Rori Harmon is one of Coach Vic's favorite recruits (she was his first offer at Texas) and he really wanted to win a championship for her and had the team that was able to do it. He probably views it as letting it get away and that he failed to deliver.
  20. The transfer from Tech is like the 5th string pitcher, Texas does have former #1 recruit transfer from OU available next year (she had to sit out this year) as well as the stud pitcher recruit as well. My guess is Salmon and Gonzales (Tech transfer) both transfer out.
  21. I expect some transfers out from the soon/juniors who have seen little playing time.
  22. Allegedly rumors that ou's stud Pickering already set to transfer to sand aggy once the portal opens.
  23. Tech always using technicalities, credit their staff for knowing the rulebook and how took exploit it, but it's still lame. Just like I think they lead the country in asking for and getting obstruction calls when they are clearly beaten and out.
  24. If you’re left handed and really fast, slapping gives you a better chance of an infield hit because you get a slight head start towards first. You are correct that they aren’t home run power hitters, usually the get on base and wreck havoc types.
  25. Usual problem with the offense, it's either hot and run rule, or ice cold and can't buy anything. Hopefully they wake up again today.
