  1. At least it want blowu
  2. I agree, and I'll also add that he's well aware of the media circus and the pro-life. He seems to really want to experience all he can of college life before having to "be an adult".
  3. Do these count towards the director's cup? Asking for a friend.
  4. They won't admit it, but so long as NIL is in play, they'll never come close to Texas. There's only a few schools that can come close to how powerful Texas is with NIL and ou ain't one of them.
  5. Hopefully Sark gets that message passed to Vic.
  6. Sounds like ou is going all in for next season, if they land her as well, their outside shooting is literally the opposite of Texas'. Very similar the offensive style of football they had in Norman under Riley - we're going to outscore you mentality.
  7. The draft is now over, just like it doesn't matter what your recruiting ranking was when you enter college, it doesn't matter where you got drafted once the NFL starts. There will be 1st round busts and late round steals. If Brock Purdy can become a starting QB as the last pick in the draft, and Tom Brady can become the GOAT being taken in the 6th round, Quinn has the opportunity to be a pro and become great. He's in a good situation not having to immediately start (Brady sat behind Bledsoe to start). I was critical of Quinn's play at Texas, doesn't mean I'm not a fan. Good luck to him and thanks for the great times at Texas. Could he have been better? Sure, but after the dark times after Colt, I'm grateful for Quinn helping bring Texas back into national prominence.
  8. The last guy's not wrong, no other fan base wants to run away from their "rival" like aggy does.
  9. Seems like Cleveland’s room is too big, along with the incumbents. Wonder which ones will be cut after preseason.
  10. Dez isn’t wrong, Miami has tons of weapons with speed. One thing Quinn does excel at is getting the ball in the hands of playmakers and let them get yac.
  11. Is it time for Longhorn frenzy screenshots?
  12. Two kickers before Quinn …
  13. Was going to say this myself
  14. Everyone from here on out can say they were drafted after a kicker was.
  15. It’s not like they have a lot to look forward to in the draft 😉
  16. Texas is at 9 players drafted currently? Realistic finish probably 11?
  17. Kind of shows how stacked Ohio st and Texas were last year that their QBs still haven’t been drafted yet and they were playing at that high a level.
  18. He's betting on himself, good luck to the young man. Though I agree with others that he would have been best served to redshirt and then takeover after he gained more development. Fans were ready to run off Michael Dickson after his freshman campaign and by the time he left Texas was considered one of, if not, the best punters in the country.
  19. The offense seems to be very hot and cold, they'll run rule a team one game, and then struggle to score the next. Need consistency in the WCWS for sure.
  20. Iowa Hawkeyes with a back to back? And is that Florida Atlantic in 2091?
  21. I'd be curious what ChatGPT is using as the data for the predictions. AI is super interesting to me.
  22. Most of these quotes sound like a fair number of the critiques that posters on OTF have had. The quotes sound like he would be a lifetime backup with the occasional start. This isn't a bad thing, many people have made that a good career and been successful in life. I agree with the previous poster that his arm strength seems to have been impacted by injuries. Otherwise his 1.000 recruiting rating wouldn't have made sense.
  23. Also cool, but I think Whittington and Skinner are arguably two of the most popular Longhorns in recent years which makes them a powerful PR combo.
  24. The first match up with Georgia, they flat out curb stomped Texas on every level. The second matchup was more even keel, but for the defense to hold Georgia to minimal points and Texas to walk into halftime with a 3 point lead if I remember correctly was detrimental. QE was a huge part of that. Quinn is Quinn, he's more of a game manager, knows the playbook, and read the defense type QB. Anyone expecting him to escape the pocket and have Patrick Mahomes type plays will be disappointed. Additionally, he's not a gun slinger like Brett Favre where he goes after 50/50 balls expecting his receiver to win most of the time. What I think most Texas fans (reasonable ones at least, and I put myself in this category) were at least expecting, was for Quinn to know how to manage the pocket and step up/roll out/ buy a little time a la Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. No one expected those guys to take it to the house 50 yards, but the defense at least had to respect the QB escaping. It seemed like - if you could collapse the pocket on Quinn, you had a sack, every fricking time. Reminds me of when ou used to run the belldozer package with Blake Bell. I don't think he threw it once and for the life of me I could not understand why defenses didn't just play man on the 2 WRs and stack the box because they obviously weren't stopping him with the regular defensive alignments. But this is all last season. We're obviously not going to agree, so agree to disagree on Quinn and be excited about this next season.
  25. My guess is they are probably hearing about all the big NIL numbers being thrown out by programs.
