  1. Unfortunately the control so much of what's viewable because it's on their network that they continue to rake in the money.
  2. Coach Elliott really hit a home run so far with this year's freshman class - and there's a libero on the bench that's supposed to be pretty good as well but in front of her are Emma Halter and Ramsey Gary who are the equivalent of covering an entire outfield between 2 people.
  3. Did they get any athletic bigs? Heard they were competing against South Carolina and UConn but I think they didn't win out.
  4. Personally it depends on the health of the team - if they are healthy, extra game! If key starters need to heal up, need the bye!
  5. Very strong class again, they should continue to compete for a deep playoff run or another national championship in the next few years.
  6. The loss to Florida where Texas crap the bed really hurts here. Without that, Texas is top 8 easily and can afford to lose 1 of the next three without fear or hope. Instead they either need to run the table or hope they get a shot at 9-3 assuming they don’t totally crap the bed and lose 2-3.
  7. Tech also doing this in softball and bought a stacked team. They went from cinderella and the sweetheart team (though with the million dollar pitcher) to the team to hate (more than ou).
  8. Smart coaching - basically make Rory try to beat you instead of the shooters. Hopefully Rory worked on her shot in the offseason.
  9. I can’t imagine that’s good for the locker room if the mercenary doesn’t pan out.
  10. Same will happen to sandy aggy once they stop getting Campbell's money. Though that pipeline will be available for a while.
  11. Yep, and coach Vic has a pretty short rotation, if I remember correctly C he usually only plays about 9 on the regular rotation.
  12. Put me in the camp rooting for win out and no SEC champ game. Rest up, and prepare for playoffs while not risking injuries.
  13. And a serve that actually puts the other team out of system
  14. Texas looks to be getting it together at the right moment. Like Ohio st last year, get hot going into the playoffs and ride that all the way to a ship!
  15. Texas didn’t take care of business against Florida and they did. If Texas has won that game, they’d probably be in the top 10 right now. Texas still has the recipe to be a top 4 seed, win out. Simple as that.
  16. I was so annoyed the Simmons was basically being held every play that wasn’t getting called. Did they say why Simmons was not on the field the last couple of series?
  17. My take is that Caldwell is akin to Ewers but can and will take off if necessary or opportunity allows.
  18. Anyone know Ange Kelly's contract situation? CDC usually doesn't make a change on the non revenue sports until the contract runs out (like softball). Coach Kelly has done a fair job, but Texas has never been considered a championship contender and that's what CDC wants for every program.
  19. PK does a great job with adjustments, not sure we can say the same about the offensive side. Apparently the other team's defense also does a great job of adjusting against Texas if my memory serves me correctly.
  20. My gut reaction is, I don't want Kiffin at OU. But my logic tells me he wouldn't want that job since they can't play in NIL and recruiting is going to suck for them compared to being either at Florida or LSU. And then off the field, who the hell wants to live in Norman, OK.
  21. The available coaches this year aren't great, gonna have to steal one and even then, most aren't going to be looking to leave, they have built strong programs where they are.
  22. So outside of soccer and football tbd, Texas' sports are all poised to have a strong showing.
  23. So you're saying damage control.
  24. I tend to agree. Kiffin to me is like a better Lincoln Riley, great offenses, but not sure they'll field the defense needed, granted Kiffin tried to build a defense through the portal.
  25. 2005 was probably one of the greatest years in the history of Longhorn sports. According to Perplexity AI: The 2005–2006 athletic year is widely regarded as one of Texas’s greatest multi-sport seasons, driven by historic championships in major sports like football and baseball. However, when compared to modern all-sports dominance — such as 2024–2025, when Texas won the Directors’ Cup and excelled across nearly every sport — 2005 was iconic for its high-profile titles, but 2024–2025 surpassed it in overall athletic depth and consistency.
