Just finally rewatched Ohio st last year and I feel a lot better than first time around. 1). We weren’t great but we actually moved the ball better than I thought. 2) went for it on the one yard line (instead of sneak I’d rather another arch draw, but ran that the two previous plays) and another TOD in the red area later. 3) Even though not accurate arch maneuvered the pocket like a pro. He’ll definitely use his legs more if he has to 4) our receivers could not get open 5) Ohio st sat on the ball on offense and played bend don’t break. Didn’t fell like we had many possessions. That 14 point lead felt like 28. I feel better because our offense is better than last year no doubt, Arch is better, will probably be a nightmare with his legs, and we had some runs that I think smothers or brown would’ve made them pay more. I think day doubled down this offseason with his OC hire. And that seems to be the theme going around college football. Slower pace on offense. And playing bend don’t break allows the opposing offense to run the clock for you. As long as you stop them when it matters, and score on your end it’s a pretty good strategy. But it’s risky and Miami game proved why for them. No margin for error.

I think he’ll be ready to go against Ohio st, after sitting Texas st, and will probably sit utsa game imo In the meantime keep everything the same and let guys battle it out. Hopefully someone flashes like Goosby did when he had to come in for banks!

I think Mike bimonte is a guy that has the brightest future among the offensive assistants. With an explosive offensive year I could see him and AJ moving on to run sarks offense at another school.

Riley will be at tech after this season. Book it.

Aggy, ou, Michigan I find myself watching a lot of 2023 games. Mostly to see the run game with brooks. That run game with Arch at QB would have been unstoppable. I think the two new backs can get us back to that level.

Drew mehriger is not will stein. They have all the pieces on offense but idk if they got the right play caller.

I feel like the “Cold War” made this rivalry so much deeper. I HATE aggy. I just hate ou. I don’t become the biggest fan of whoever is playing Oklahoma like I do for whoever is playing aggy. I just like to look at the scores and see OU lose.

I don’t get the hate on Quinn. Is he a high level nfl QB is tbd. But no doubt he has improved under sark and he will always be the QB that brought us back. He’s not perfect, but he wins, makes the play when it’s absolutely needed, 9 game road winning streak, which I think he plays better on the road. Which is important. I think his confidence is easily shaken and that not something you can coach. You can tell sark knows this because he rarely ever says anything bad(can’t find the right word) about Quinn, but he will about arch weaknesses in a heartbeat. Arch can handle it. That’s just my opinion.

G5 farm teams! I’ve had this idea ever since the portal first opened that Texas should somehow try to get something like that done. UTSA and/or Utep. Funnel project takes that have the measurables, and specific skill sets to those teams. Most likely they start right away. Helps the G5 teams compete and if they reach potential and we have a hole bring them up. Also an agreement to pay the team for the spring game maybe even a couple joint practices, to get eyes on some of your prospects and build relationships. Obviously those prospects aren’t forced to go Texas if they decide to transfer but I bet the hit rate would be good with NIL.
