  1. Hmmm don’t love thus with uga lurking so close…
  2. To be fair to him I’m not sure if much of anyone his age does haha 😂. Maybe KJ is trying to help show him what real commitment is by brining him here…
  3. Perfectly said, love the NATO analogy! I don’t think Texas necessarily wants to “run” the SEC anyway. If they keep rollin the way they are we’ll be happy just being a part of the whole. However, you’re so right the minute our power and influence is needed we will expect, naturally, a more significant voice. All that blustering is insecurity from the smaller states/schools that don’t want to be left outside looking in with all this restructuring going on in college athletics.
  4. Love this!! What a stud! Good for him, shows the power of positive attitude and hard work!!
  5. Damn sad to hear this, the sideline will be way less fashionable without Loréal! Hoping the best for both of them!
  6. True, I thought he was projected as an outfielder though? Much tougher route there if so…
  7. What’s keeping him from doing a Ricky/Ced B move and getting drafted, playing in the summer, and stilll playing football here in the fall?
  8. “Met” meaning FaceTime Covid style meet lol.
  9. Best of luck to him. Sorry things didn’t work out here. Probably could use him this season!!
  10. Thank you for posting this!! Absolutely right, and what an awesome young man.l on and off the field!! Excited to see how the secondary looks with him, Makuba, Guilbeau, Willliams, Mohammed, Cole, Holmes, and how he’s going to help with the young gun development too!!
  11. I’m going on record that Johnson will flip to Texas after seeing the Aggie offense this season versus the texas offense. He might have to work to get on the field, but that’ll only make his game better when he does see PT.
  12. Amen!! A defensive head coach with a run first OC doesn’t exactly scream WR friendly unless he just really wants to block and get the ball in desperation situations
  13. H8Rs gonna H8 @Gerry Hamilton keep those HI’s coming!!! I’m hoping it’s a DT from Belleville lol!
  14. Wait Saquon Barkley is hurt, and back with the Giants?!?! 😜
  15. Airbnb can be good, but would recommend checking with some locals first just to make sure 😊! I’m sure there’s plenty on here that are happy to help!
  16. Yeah not cheap at all, but great location.
  17. No, too far out and nothing close by and easy. There’s a Hampton Inn on Lavaca and the double tree on 15th that are nice. Most game weekends pretty much everything is going to be expensive close to campus/downtown. Going out to Rainey, 6th, downtown isn’t super dangerous it’s just crowed with a lot of partiers and vagrants. It really depends what you’re looking to do. The less crazy part of 6th is west of congress. 5th street has a lot going on too. South Congress is hip and expensive, east side is hipster vibes, e. riverside to pleasant valley is a little better than it used to be, but still pretty sketchy depending on where you are. Honestly, it all just depends what you’re looking to do other than the game.
  18. Awesome!!!
  19. The AT&T center on campus is a good spot, not cheap, but right in the mix if everything. There are a bunch of hotels in and around downtown. Stay away from the best western on 11th and anything along 35 north of campus up to 183. Matt’s El Rancho is a must (imo) after the game if early or before if a late game. Make sure you get a large Bob Armstrong 😊. Schultz is a great pregame/postgame spot close to campus. Crown and Anchor is a cool chill burger joint at 29th and San Jac before or after game as is Posse East just a block closer to the stadium. Check out the Surly Horns tailgate on LBJ lawn to catch some longhorn city limits, hopefully more details on that to come. Personally, I like going in early and seeing the band and the pomp and circumstance of the team coming into the stadium at Bevo Blvd and pre-game. Please feel free to message me directly. As a native Austinite and lifetime longhorn I love helping people out with things to do especially around their first game! The problem is that there’s so much to try and cram in haha!!
  20. Spot on!! We have a ton of depth at OL and Fasusi is not as critical as other positions. Would of course love to get him from Sooners, but Brooks just seems like the better option if we have to choose!!
  21. Manscape better get out the check book for this dime you just dropped @Gerry Hamilton!
  22. Yeah he is!! No at all surprised about this. It looks like he’s home in NOLA is that right?!
  23. This is much needed and a good move by OU. As CDC is fond of saying, I imagine we will be doing some R&D on this…rip off and duplicate! Definitely think there needs to be a cap for teams much like in pro sports especially for HS kids so they’re not making more than the proven players IMHO.
  24. Thanks Gerry, always good stuff from y’all even if not great news for the horns right now. I believe you, Bobby, or Rod we’re discussing this last week after DK committed, but it’s hard to believe that these guys could do better than to play in Sark’s system? Especially since UO has a defensive minded HC and lesser QB talent than us. It seems like there’s got to be some really sweet monetary incentives for this many quality WRs to look past us and go to Oregon. Heck sark was the last coach in how long to have a WR win the heisman?!?! Will be very curious when the dust settles what the ducks are paying for these guys. Personally, I think let them chase the money if that’s what it is. I’ll take hungry talented guys to develop all day and twice on Sunday! Hook’em!!
