  1. H8Rs gonna H8 @Gerry Hamilton keep those HI’s coming!!! I’m hoping it’s a DT from Belleville lol!
  2. Wait Saquon Barkley is hurt, and back with the Giants?!?! 😜
  3. Airbnb can be good, but would recommend checking with some locals first just to make sure 😊! I’m sure there’s plenty on here that are happy to help!
  4. Yeah not cheap at all, but great location.
  5. No, too far out and nothing close by and easy. There’s a Hampton Inn on Lavaca and the double tree on 15th that are nice. Most game weekends pretty much everything is going to be expensive close to campus/downtown. Going out to Rainey, 6th, downtown isn’t super dangerous it’s just crowed with a lot of partiers and vagrants. It really depends what you’re looking to do. The less crazy part of 6th is west of congress. 5th street has a lot going on too. South Congress is hip and expensive, east side is hipster vibes, e. riverside to pleasant valley is a little better than it used to be, but still pretty sketchy depending on where you are. Honestly, it all just depends what you’re looking to do other than the game.
  6. Awesome!!!
  7. The AT&T center on campus is a good spot, not cheap, but right in the mix if everything. There are a bunch of hotels in and around downtown. Stay away from the best western on 11th and anything along 35 north of campus up to 183. Matt’s El Rancho is a must (imo) after the game if early or before if a late game. Make sure you get a large Bob Armstrong 😊. Schultz is a great pregame/postgame spot close to campus. Crown and Anchor is a cool chill burger joint at 29th and San Jac before or after game as is Posse East just a block closer to the stadium. Check out the Surly Horns tailgate on LBJ lawn to catch some longhorn city limits, hopefully more details on that to come. Personally, I like going in early and seeing the band and the pomp and circumstance of the team coming into the stadium at Bevo Blvd and pre-game. Please feel free to message me directly. As a native Austinite and lifetime longhorn I love helping people out with things to do especially around their first game! The problem is that there’s so much to try and cram in haha!!
  8. Spot on!! We have a ton of depth at OL and Fasusi is not as critical as other positions. Would of course love to get him from Sooners, but Brooks just seems like the better option if we have to choose!!
  9. Manscape better get out the check book for this dime you just dropped @Gerry Hamilton!
  10. Yeah he is!! No at all surprised about this. It looks like he’s home in NOLA is that right?!
  11. This is much needed and a good move by OU. As CDC is fond of saying, I imagine we will be doing some R&D on this…rip off and duplicate! Definitely think there needs to be a cap for teams much like in pro sports especially for HS kids so they’re not making more than the proven players IMHO.
  12. Thanks Gerry, always good stuff from y’all even if not great news for the horns right now. I believe you, Bobby, or Rod we’re discussing this last week after DK committed, but it’s hard to believe that these guys could do better than to play in Sark’s system? Especially since UO has a defensive minded HC and lesser QB talent than us. It seems like there’s got to be some really sweet monetary incentives for this many quality WRs to look past us and go to Oregon. Heck sark was the last coach in how long to have a WR win the heisman?!?! Will be very curious when the dust settles what the ducks are paying for these guys. Personally, I think let them chase the money if that’s what it is. I’ll take hungry talented guys to develop all day and twice on Sunday! Hook’em!!
  13. 1. That time when TCU kicked a last minute field goal to stay undefeated and relevant…
  14. Hahahaha, they already go to the gambler that pays the most, why not let them advertise too?!?! It’s brilliant really, since they’re so relevant and stronger now than 24 months ago, the officials are part of the must see tv that they’re putting out there. It’s really going to be fun, like WWE. The coaches, players, AND refs get to rumble each week!!
  15. Say what again!! I dare ya!!!
  16. Love me some Royal with cheese baby!!!
  17. Amen!! Trust the process!!
  18. I’m down. I’ve got two kids under 3 so may not be on much for a while though 😕. Awesome idea for sure!! Maybe have an Xbox and PlayStation league then have an in person play off for the champion if each side?
  19. Thanks for sharing! I had a thought based on what Nike did with MJ, as detailed in Air. That in addition to NIL perhaps Nike is finding a way of giving players a percentage of their merch/Oregon football merch sold allowing them addition sources of revenue that very few if any other schools can or are offering right now. Oregon has been a strong program for a while with strong recruiting, but the recent uptick in big gets of out of state kids makes me very suspicious that they are just going a little further than others can. Great post, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!!
  20. I don’t think so personally. He’s done the NFL thing and it’s so much harder to build a culture that he likes/wants in the nfl versus college. Just my opinion based on what little I know about anything really going on inside the program 😂
  21. Love the content and the depth of reporting. It’s unfortunate to lose guys we thought were in the fold, but @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton and @CJ Vogel do a damn good job reporting accurately on the thoughts, feelings, opinions, and actions of teenage boys and college kids. I’m SHOCKED (insert sarcasm here) that they’re not 100% accurate in their predictions. Keeps up the great work fellas! One player doesn’t make a team, and we have a LOT of really talented kids committed and already on our team. I trust the staff to develop the guys that want to be here. The cowboys spend big money for talent and look what it’s done for them since the real coach behind the dynasty was fired. Hook’em!!
  22. Let’s make a big spectacle about this hire of the guy we didn’t want but could get. Nothing against him, it’s the over the top solidarity of the Aggie war hymn swaying together as all Aggies united. Lame, they act like someone super important died.
  23. I’m assuming he’s a goner. It softens the blow for me 😢
  24. Just a bunch of hot doodz wearing cool dudz showing off their hot bodz for the cheer…I mean yell leaders…😂
  25. He’s the best worst coach they’ve ever had. He was the reason the baseball program was excelling, but now they realize it was his hitting coach all along. His ass was kissed by the fan base but not the AD. See ya Trev! Another great victory for the fighting farmers. Trev may be worse than Patterson and that’s saying A LOT in my opinion lol!
