  1. Never said Arkansas was the standard simply using their performance against the Vols at home as an example as to why we would be ok against TN imo. Either way, I agree the offense has been doing the disappearing act all season and it’s going to cost us if we don’t improve in consistency these next 2 weeks. We have a championship level defense and we need our offense to rise up.
  2. Not TN but Ole Miss for sure. However, we do have a much better defense than Arkansas and they held TN down.
  3. Defense wins championships we can go pretty far if we’re able to get offense going a little better consistently. Penalties were way better today at least! We came out with a run first approach it seemed like and you saw what that did to us. The sacks have got to get cleaned up
  4. Indeed! It actually looked like Arkansas purposely over watered the field and laid loose sod to slow Texas down. I know it hasn’t rained up there recently and that field looked like a muddy pig sty
  5. Yes they did we should’ve won by 30-35 the way the defense dominated
  6. More talented than Arch?
  7. I went to Fayetteville for undergrad and was there when we played in Fayetteville in 2004 and my parents had a great time (Texas grad and wearing burnt orange). It’s loud and people get into the rivalry. I’m sure it’ll be a little extra vitriol because it is a conference game. Like most places the people that are the worst are the folks that never set foot on campus. They don’t like Texas because they assume all Texas grads are conceited and cocky. The easiest way to diffuse that is to be complimentary of the atmosphere and how beautiful it is up there this time of year and how great it is to be playing regularly. That’ll ease most tension you’ll face. It’s the SEC and road games are hostile. Should be a fun one hopefully the horns come out with a big win!
  8. Amazing!! Such wonderful news glad he’s doing so well. Prayers for continued healing and back to normal soon!!
  9. Texas-52 Arkansas-17 i think it’ll be close at first but the dam breaks going into half time
  10. Maybe they’ll actually win a game?
  11. How do you keep an Aggie occupied for days? Give him a two sided coin and tell him to call you when it come up tails.
  12. An Aggie got a letter from his parents telling him that they’d moved. “Son, we heard all accidental death happen within 20 miles from home, so we moved.”
  13. Haha I hear ya! I take it as a compliment, and remind them that they have to be strong enough to hold the Horns up. Heavy is the hand that wears the horns lol 🤘🐂🤘
  14. Haha nice! I know Vilonia! It’s so true that they love to hate Texas more than they love themselves!! I did undergrad in Fayetteville and was amazed at how much people kept bringing up Texas and how much they HATED Texas. It was so weird to me being from Austin.
  15. No way no how. I love Deion so please don’t subject him to that haha! Although maybe if he pushed back and got all up in Jerry’s head he might give Jer bear a heart attack sooooo
  16. Where in Arkansas do you live?! I have family all over the state. They can make fun all they want but the overall results are pretty overwhelming lol.
  17. I don’t know, I would say it’s still a big deal for those of us that remember to SWC before the hogs left. Arkansas definitely hates Texas more than we do them, however the heat will get turned up again now that we play them every year it’s a fun rivalry that reminds me of a better version of Texas tech.
  18. Honestly, if Quinn can’t go that might be worse for Arkansas given how badly ole miss beat them up on the deep balls.
  19. Probably more to do with the late run game effectiveness and Jackson coming back for the hogs IMO
  20. Correction, he’s never allowed to officiate ever again. Any sport or any wedding!
  21. Big loss with CJ for sure. The running game issues seem more and more to be on the backs than the o line. Watching Gibson run yesterday he was able to run inside and follow blocking like we’ve seen the past few years here. Blue and Wisner are really athletic guys but both seem to lack the rb vision to attack the holes seriously or the depth of knowledge to read and react to where the defense is flowing during a play. Wisner is getting better but Blue just doesn’t seem to get it. I don’t think we couldn’t run the ball against Georgia because we don’t have a good O line. I think it’s the backs are too inexperienced and are a liability in big games with quality defenses. The games where UGA struggles are when teams establish and continue to develop the run game. I think sometimes we’re too worried about getting our QB going early and not concerned enough about getting our O line going. Tony Hills spoke to that this week on coffee and football. When you run block and play physical early it provides more umph to pass protection. Quinn didn’t play well against UGA, but us not being able to run the ball forced us to be one dimensional and allowed for Feorgia to tee off and exploit our tendencies in pass protection. Heck the Jets didn’t same thing to CJ Stroud a couple of weeks ago. No one is saying he’s trash or that their I line is a joke. It’s time for the offense to buckle up look at the man across the line and blow them off the ball. Impose our will, and we will break theirs. We have the talent and we have the strength. Gotta get it done. Pass protection doesn’t matter when you run the ball. If we had leaned on that early against Georgia and played field position a little bit we would’ve been able to weather the storm, allow Quinn to adjust, and figure out a counter to their defense. Instead it seems like we’ve been coming out trying to land books and upper cuts for the knockout in the first round instead of working the body and jabbing their defense. Work the body and you don’t let them breathe then those haymakers are easier to throw and land.
  22. You know why the chicken ranch in LaGrange really shut down? When Aggies found out it was women and not chickens they called the cops.
  23. What’s the difference between an aTm grad and a 1st grader? the 1st grader FINISHED kindergarten
